  1. Calm corners refresh your mind, gives you time to sort out your thoughts and teaches students to self regulate, an important skill in life. But some people argue that calm corners are a distraction, make students forget what they just learnt and that it’s wasting resources. But I strongly believe that calm corners should be installed in schools.

Firstly, calm corners refresh your mind, giving you a bit of time to soak in the information that you learnt, so you can remember it better. While critics say this wastes precious time in the classroom, calm corners help you stay focused, actually maximizing learning time as the brain has time to properly take in the information and get ready for more lessons.

Secondly, you can’t just think about school all day. Chances are, when your teacher is explaining something, a bit of your brain is also wondering what you’ll do at lunch, or how to evade the massive amount of homework when you get home, or something else unrelated to the lesson. Calm corners give you some time to organize those thoughts, so you daydream less and focus more, instead of making you lose focus.

Lastly, calm corners teach students to self regulate. When was the last time you you were angry or sad and said mean things or felt miserable afterwards? Well, calm corners teach you to regulate those feelings, so there is less chance of someone getting hurt. It teaches you self regulation, an important skill later in life. Calm corners teach you to calm down and self regulate. While some people say that it costs money to make a calm corner, isn’t it worth it? If someone throws a fit and swings a chair, aren’t the parents going to sue the school more money than a couple of beanbag chairs, a cheap rug and some pillows? And you can have a special event, like a fun run to fund a calm corner, or ask the students to bring some unused pillows or blankets. This makes a cheap but still effective calm corner.

In conclusion, calm corners are places where you can refresh your mind, sort your thoughts and learn an important life skill. Do you really not want that just because a students can spend a minute lazing around? Or because you have to buy pillows? I believe it’s time to take action and install calm corners!

  2. I definitely believe creating calm corners are worth it. They support learning, encourages positive behaviour and inclusive for diverse needs. Therefore, clam corners are mandatory for all classrooms.

To begin with, they support learning. In overall time, calm corners actually increase the learning time, because when the student isn’t ready to learn, calming them down will help them learn easier. If you had a student who was extremely angry, teaching them would nearly be impossible. So, calm corners support learning.

Additionally, they encourage positive behaviour. According to a study, students from years 1-6 found it easier to learn after using a calm corner. Calm corners help to calm them down, like their name suggests, to be ready to learn. On that account, calm corners help with positive behaviour.

To end with, they are inclusive for diverse needs. Calm corners aren’t only for the un-ready to learn, but for people diagnosed with symptoms, like autism or ADHD. But in a similar manner, they still do the same job. Thus, they are also for people diagnosed with symptoms.

In conclusion, calm corners are not only a tool, they are also an aid to learning. With their learning support, positive behaviour encouragement and inclusion to diverse needs, they are a must-have in all classrooms. Do you want a calm corner in your classroom?

  3. Calm corners are really important school. They can be used for silence with peace, refreshing minds and cooling negative emotions. All of these reasons can prove why calm corners are really important, not just for schools. Kids could use them to help their future. So let’s install these in every school.

Firstly, we are going to dive into some silence and peace. Kids sometimes need some place that is quiet for many things. For example, their ears need to rest or if there mind is blank it could actually help support to think of creativity. Like when you’re in the shower you always have brain farts of an idea. This is all because of one noise. That single noise is very quiet and always repeats so you can think properly. Thats the same for the sound of silence. These corners don’t bully children like teachers giving children time-out for no reason, this is an example of improved learning. These could cause kids to get betters grades at might even reach the top of the grade. This is an vital example of why we need to install calm corners.

Secondly, these spaces could also be used for a kid to restart and think again. Refreshing is proved that it boosts mood, enhances focus skills like concentration, improves memory, supports problem-solving abilities and it reduces stress by scientists. With these corners kids can get a headstart with more space in their brain to operate and take down ideas from class. While critics say that it throws all that knowledge into the trash, it is the exact opposite. That actually fills in more than an average normal kid in class. It decreases chances to daydream or not concentrate rather than deleting that time. So even if you believe the critics right now, watch me change your mind into thinking calm corners are one of the most vital things.

Last but not least, dont we want kids to feel ready to learn and estatic rather than being hollow, depressed or full-on raging? I guess you pick no, then you have found the right material. These calm corners are not just for peace and refreshing, it’s in the name! These are also used to calm down frok any negative emotion. Being full of heat is just not on. With this corner it can help cool people down to not cause fights or any bad problem. Being so sad that you create a new ocean is also not on. These corners can let kids think properly on what they should do instead of making everyone riding in a boat. It’s king of like a calm time-out to let kids to change emotions from a negative to a positive. We must use this type of corner in every classroom if you want your kids to experience a world of pain. It is absolutely important that every teacher signs up to buy one for calm, chill kids.

To sum up, every minute of spending in a calm corner is worth it. Those critics all don’t know the true beauty behind this all. If i actually persuaded you like what I said in the second argument, then I recconmend you getting a calm corner. Out of all the reasons of having a calm corner, not even one critic thought about this. I believe, getting a calm corner will support every childs future.
