Selective Schools Exam and Opportunity Class Tests: Did Covid-19 really disrupt your learning?

While normal classroom learning has been disrupted by COVID-19, this might be the best learning time for your kids. A lot of parents are worried about their children missing out on crucial learning, while I believe that the homeschooling opportunity that COVID-19 has provided is the best time to accelerate your child’s learning.

When I was little, I would rush to complete my assignments within the deadline without bothering to learn. I treated school as my social time. The only serious learning time I had was at home. That’s when I would do countless papers to improve my knowledge and actual capacity. This was the case with many of us here.

What I’m trying to say is that having your kids at home for let’s say, the next 2-3 months is the best opportunity to improve their learning. If you subject your kid to six hours of real work at home, in 2-3 months, you can improve their scores. If your child is always at the bottom of the class, I guarantee you that they will be at the top of the class with this kind of commitment. So instead of complaining about the online school system, you should instead formulate strategies to educate them at home.

Now, keep in mind that this is only going to work if you are a committed parent. You must be ready to help your child learn how to organize their education. If you leave your child to work by themselves, they won’t succeed. To achieve this, you need to set up a rigorous curriculum. A lot of schools are being given distance packs which in my opinion are not very good. They don’t have any experience in terms of distance teaching. I would recommend that you subject your kid to constant reading and writing for the first two hours of their daily study routine, then do maths and other things during the remaining hours. If you follow this routine every day, you’re going to be flabbergasted by the amount of progress that they make.

Bearing in mind that the information children get from teachers is little, you need to train your kids to learn by themselves. And that’s what you need to educate your child to do during this COVID-19 break period to improve their self-drive. So instead of freaking out because normal classroom learning has been disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, you should take advantage of this great learning opportunity.
