Selective Reading & Writing for Year 6 is an intensive program designed to help students prepare and become confident in their Selective test performance. During this program, they will be exposed to a variety of different text types, such as fiction, poetry, cloze passages, and extracts. Comprehensive feedback will be provided on each writing task they complete while they continually build up their vocabulary knowledge through stimulating activities. We also include higher order thinking skills development throughout the course to ensure that our students are fully prepared for success in the Selective exam. On the first day of the program we conduct an assessment following the Selective test format to assess their performance.

We strive to equip our students with all the necessary knowledge and skills required for them to excel in the Selective test. Thus, we provide all original materials and reading questions that follow the new Cambridge-style exam format. During our lessons, a different text type is covered each time and exemplary student responses are shared and discussed the following day.
