  1. Have you ever felt extremely tired after a long school day, only to come home to a mountain of homework and barely any time to rest? This is what happens every day for millions of students who spend five days a week sitting in classrooms for six to seven hours at a time. This is an important issue because student health, learning, feelings are all affected by this possible change.

Schools should have four-day weeks because going to school for 6 to 7 hours a day is too tiring, it is too much trouble to get to and from school especially for students without easy access to transportation.Which leads to students being overwhelmed with homework and not enough time at home to do it.
Imagine a student who lives 45 minutes away from school and has to wake up at 5:30 AM just to catch a bus. After a full day of learning, then hours of homework after they finally get home. It’s exhausting and unfair. A shorter week would give students more time to rest, recover, and complete homework without burning out.
Now, some people might say that not all students feel tired after school And that’s true. Some students may handle the workload better than others but we shouldn’t ignore the many who are struggling. Just because some students are fine doesn’t mean the system is working for everyone. A four-day week would support those who need more time, without hurting those who are already managing well.
In conclusion, students can’t succeed if they’re too tired, too stressed, and too overwhelmed to learn. Less school days means more balance, better health, and fairer opportunities for everyone.
