  1. Have you ever wondered why so many animals are dying each year? It is simply because our actions and rubbish that we throw in oceans and lakes which polluted them cause an end to creatures which live in that area. Studies have shown that over 100,000 marine animals die or get tangled up in fishing line each year! Have you ever imagined sitting on a dirty beach, blood coming out of animals floating on the water, on their belly . Have you think of plastic bottles, fishing lines and aluminum cans floating on the surface of the water? Therefore, every piece of rubbish that we throw in the sea makes a big difference in the world, and be careful of your actions that could affect the world forever!

Rubbish can also cause global warming, especially food scraps, they send out greenhouse gas. The gas traps heat inside our planet. Every 100 years our earth is getting hotter by 2 degrees and that is really scary if this kept going a no one tried to stop it! If we kept doing the same thing for centuries life would be extinct because the world would be too hot for human beings. After all humans would be extinct and the world will become to an end so humans would not exist anymore. Come and protect the earth now before it gets too hot for human beings and throw food scraps into compost bins so the gas does not invade our planet too early. Studies have shown that food scraps have release the most of methane gas.

Assume that you were a land animal suffering as your neighbours die because of eating rubbish and assuming that it was a treat or a kind of food. Studies have shown that approximately 3 million animals die each year because of human actions, such as throwing rubbish on land. These rubbish have tricked animals into eating it. For example turtles, they think plastic bags are jelly fish so they attend to eat it which causes death for the turtle or fatal sickness which can lead into death or injuries. So Poor right? We have also killed several animals that are now extinct, because of human activities, these animals are extinct, Such as Bali and more, these poor animals have died because of us, we killed them by throwing rubbish and not throwing rubbish into the right bins. It is our choice to do the right thing. Fix it right now and let’s keep it up the good work by throw rubbish into the correct bins.

Last but not least, throwing rubbish can cause soil and water contamination. The water will soon, and slowly turn worse and dirty as the water turns dirty there will be no fishes and no living sea creatures right now, as we keep throwing rubbish into the environment. The rubbish pollutes our water. If we keep throwing rubbish away then, our home will run out of water. No water will end and human beings will be extinct. Soil can be broken up into small pieces by wind after that, rubbish can cause it to turn bad. No soil is no growing plants and no plants also means no food which can lead to hunger which ends humans lives, so now we can fix it but if we keep doing it there is no turning back.

To put it into a nutshell, let’s stop throwing rubbish because, over 100 000 marines die every year, causes global warming, threatens animals lives and can run out of soil and water. So start cleaning right now. If you clean more than 1 tonne of rubbish in 5 years you will get an award. Also imagine children with sunscreen on, running around a sandy island having fun and playing in the crystal clean water. Did you know the paper bags takes 1 month to dissolve in nature, and a banana peel takes 2 months, an aluminum can can take 80 to 100 years to break up, a plastic bottle takes 450 year but an fishing line takes a whopping time of 600 years! So come and start cleaning now and get a better environment, and a fresher new world with clean oxygen. Now let’s change it and provide our envoirment love.

  2. Pollution in Our City
Today I want to talk about the rise of pollution in our city [PAUSE] Many people are saying that we cannot live without plastic [PAUSE] What do you mean we cannot live without it [PAUSE] Will the world end if we stop using it [PAUSE] Will someone die [PAUSE] We all know none of that will happen so why are we using plastic every day [PAUSE].If someone uses it once a day that is fine but most of us use it again and again and never recycle [PAUSE] The plastic gets burned and that smoke goes into the air we breathe [PAUSE] That means we are filling our lungs with our own waste [PAUSE]
Now imagine walking outside and seeing a sky full of smoke [PAUSE] Imagine the birds are all dead and so are the fish .[PAUSE] Do we want that kind of future? [PAUSE]One day I saw a eating a shiny wrapper [PAUSE] It thought it was food [PAUSE] This is a example of what could happen to animals if we keep on using this much plastic. We can change this [PAUSE] we can reduce using plastic and start reusing it ad if you don’t need the plastic recycle it.
Some people ask what can one person do [PAUSE] One person can start a chain [PAUSE] One person can teach others [PAUSE] One person can make a real change [PAUSE].So today I ask you to take one small step [PAUSE] Pick up one piece of litter or refuse one plastic bag [PAUSE] Together we can protect our city and our world [PAUSE].In conclusion pollution is growing and plastic is one of the main reasons [PAUSE] If we act together we can stop it [PAUSE] Let us care for our home before it is too late [PAUSE] Thank you

  3. Almost everyone recycles their rubbish now, but it is not enough, because every minute an average of 15000 bottles and cans are dumped into our oceans and enters the already fragile cycle of nature. It also doesn’t help that 600kg of garments are tossed out each minute, and that is merely in Australia. (pause) This reveals the significant damage that it is doing to our environment. We are endangering wildlife and poisoning our oceans. We are doing damage to our world in every single minute. But we can change that(pause) but we need every minute, every choice and every one of us.
Recycling has been our solution to global warming for 4 decades, despite that we recycle an average of 9% of our rubbish according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics. Data shows that we struggle to dispose of one-time, convenient objects responsibly, so we need to use the two much simpler rules, reduce and reuse. So, it is time to move our focus to more simpler actions, reducing and reusing. That is when you cut down on your waste and reuse what you already own. These new rules though much easier are way more powerful because it rules out all possibility of waste if you follow them. Recycling requires energy but reducing and reusing only requires a choice.
As I mentioned earlier, we are killing and endangering our native plants so we need to do something to help them. Simply reducing the trash thrown out is what we need to do but helping the plants is what we should do. The amount of plastic we throw out is what is poisoning our plants so why not use our waste to create compost? The plastic we use can build a box to hold the compost and the food scraps will become the compost. In fact, if you have any biodegradable plastic, you are welcome to throw that in as well! Because what fed the landfill will benefit the plants they once killed. As one study warns, “Plastic pollutants are introduced into ecosystems… They have become a major source of adverse effects, toxicity development in natural entities, and problems.”
And then there is transport, each time you fly, drive or ship something we burn fossil fuels and that creates a quarter of the total greenhouse gas that is floating around the atmosphere and heating up our planet. But it doesn’t stay in the sky, it slowly comes down to earth were it goes into the soil and spends the rest of its life intoxicating our plants. We need to reduce the transport going around, so we either bike or go through public transport.
So now we know, every single piece of trash, every drive and every scrap leaves a mark on our environment. But we can reverse it, if recycling doesn’t work, we change the tactic. We move on to reducing and reusing. (pause) because every choice makes a difference.

  4. Fathima Shaista Mohamed Salman

Hello everyone. I am Shaista. Let me ask you a question. Would you and those who come after you would rather live in a clean place which is like paradise or a very hot and dirty place? Of course you would choose the first option.

When I was little, I used to always go outside. There were lush green trees, less rubbish and good weather. I always thought that this is like paradise. But now when I go outside, there is less trees dying leaves and more rubbish. I felt so embarrassed. Why do we have to be the ones that made it a lot less like paradise? You now may be feeling guilty yourselves but this is the truth. Now I was not here to make you feel like this but we still can make a difference.

Look at the facts. An average household makes about 1.5kg of waste per day, or ~540kg per year, with significant portion being food waste. This estimate breaks down to 12.4 million tonnes generated by households annually. You can reduce this by properly planning foods leaving leftovers instead of wasting and, also eating nude food [food that is not wrapped in excess disposable packaging, such as plastic bags, cling wrap, foil, or throw-away containers] helps the environment. We can use less energy and make sure that the recycling [paper, cardboard, plastic, glass, and cans] goes in the recycling bin, compost [ food scraps] goes in the compost bin and the rubbish [food wrappers, tissues etc] goes in the rubbish bin. If we do all these things we are helping our Earth and making it feel like paradise.

In conclusion, if you throw rubbish in the bin, use less energy and other things that help the environment, this world will be like paradise. Do not forget to prepare good meals, do not waste and put your rubbish in the correct bin!

  5. In the early 1900s, human progress accelerated like never before. Cities expanded, machines filled the air with sound, and technology transformed daily life. It was an age of innovation and pride, but in our endless pursuit of growth, we began to take more than the Earth could give. Forests were cleared, rivers polluted, and our connection to nature weakened. However, history shows that people once lived in balance with the land, respecting its limits and taking only what they really needed. Now, as we face the effects of climate change and environmental decline, we have the chance to learn from the past and restore that balance; to protect our planet, our communities, and the generations to come.

Protecting the environment means protecting life itself. Every plant, animal, and microorganism plays an essential role in keeping our planet healthy. Forests clean our air,
wetlands filter our water, and pollinators like bees help our food grow. When we destroy habitats or overuse natural resources, we weaken the balance that supports all living things, including ourselves. Biodiversity is what keeps ecosystems strong and resilient, able to recover from storms, droughts, and changes in climate. Environmental conservation is not only about beauty or compassion, but it is about the ability to thrive amongst nature without destroying it.

Climate change is one of the greatest challenges humanity has ever faced, caused by deforestation, pollution, and the burning of fossil fuels. As greenhouse gases trap
heat, global temperatures rise and weather becomes more extreme, threatening both people and wildlife. According to studies, around 80% of pollution comes from factories and everyday life. Reducing emissions, switching to cleaner energy sources, and enforcing environmental regulations are crucial steps toward reversing this damage. Protecting forests and restoring wetlands helps absorb carbon dioxide and regulate natural cycles, reducing the damage we’ve caused. By conserving nature, we save countless species and safeguard the ecosystems that support humanity to grow and nurture future generations of life on Earth.

Throughout history, humanity has depended on the Earth for survival, yet we often take it for granted. The decisions we make today in industries across the globe will determine the health and stability of our planet for centuries. Protecting the environment is not only about preserving beauty or saving endangered species; it is about ensuring a liveable future for us all. Our planet’s story is still being written, and it is our responsibility to make sure it ends with renewal, balance, and hope for generations to come.

  6. Good morning, neighbors! Did you know that, according to recent studies, the average person in our community generates over two tons of waste each year? Emphasis That’s a staggering amount, isn’t it? This is a call to action, a plea for us to come together and protect the very place we call home. I’m here today to talk to you about environmental conservation and why it matters to each and every one of us.

    (Body – Logos & Pathos)

Let’s be honest, the state of our planet can feel overwhelming. We hear about climate change, pollution, and habitat loss, and it can feel like a problem too big for any one person to solve. But I’m here to tell you that it’s not. Every single action, no matter how small, makes a difference.

Think about it logically. Our environment provides us with everything: clean air to breathe, fresh water to drink, and the very resources we need to survive. Emphasis Without a healthy environment, our health, our economy, and our future are all at risk.

And now, let’s consider the emotional impact. I remember when I was a child, spending countless summer days playing in the creek behind my house. It was a vibrant, thriving ecosystem, filled with life. But over the years, I’ve seen that creek slowly deteriorate, choked by pollution and neglect. This is not just a story of my childhood. This is happening everywhere. Rhythm down

But here’s the good news! We can reverse this trend. We can protect our environment.

    So, what can we do?

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle: It’s a classic for a reason! Reduce your consumption, reuse items whenever possible, and recycle everything you can.
Conserve Energy: Turn off lights, unplug electronics, and consider using energy-efficient appliances.
Support Local: Buy local produce and products to reduce transportation emissions and support sustainable businesses.
Educate Yourself and Others: Learn about environmental issues and share your knowledge with your friends, family, and community.
    (Body – Ethos & Engagement)

You might be thinking, “What difference can I make?” Rhetorical Question The answer is: a huge one! We are a community, and we have the power to create real change when we work together.

I’m not a scientist or a politician, but I am a resident of this community, just like you. I care about our future, and I believe in the power of collective action.

    (Conclusion)

So, let’s make a commitment today. Let’s pledge to adopt sustainable practices in our daily lives. Let’s work together to create a healthier, more vibrant community for ourselves and for generations to come. The time for action is now. Let’s get started! Thank you!
