Schools should ban air conditioning, in winter, because they are a waste of energy, and the students could be freezing cold. As the children some back from lunch, they step into the classroom, as a gust of wind splashes in their face, while they step in the freezing classroom. Air conditioning in winter, just makes the students colder, which could cause them to get a cold, which makes their family get ill, then as they need to go the the market they give other people the sickness and then the whole world a sickness! Also if school uses air conditioning in winter, they would need to pay a lot of money for the energy that they use for the air conditioning. If schools don’t use air -con then they can reduce the energy they are using, so that they don’t need to pay as much in their taxes or school fees. Even if we do still have air conditioning in school then many student’s parents could come up to the principle and ask millions of billions of questions, why their child got sick and why multiple students got sick! Schools should ban air conditioning, because if they do, then their main focus on energy use is laptops, computers and smartboards. Air cons can make children hate school and not want to come here everyday, because they always get a frostbite chill when they come back in from recess and lunch. This could make the children want to go to another school instead of this school, because they always have to feel the pain of the coldness and the deadly chill down their spine. This is why all schools should ban air conditioning, because it can make a big impact on the reputation on the school and is a waste of energy in winter.

Have you ever wondered how much impact air conditioning is having on the classroom, school and the whole world.Air conditioning in schools is making your live suffer. There are many different reasons like cost, over dependence and environmental damages.
Firstly over dependence on air conditioning can make it extremely dangerous for children in that classroom. Sudden switches between different temperatures can cause discomfort, headaches, or respiratory issues to sensitive individuals. This may lead to children missing out on crucial learning and they may fall behind other students.Constant AC can reduce students’ and staff’s natural adaptation to warmer temperatures, making it harder to function in non-cooled environments.
Secondly installing air conditioning can cost a massive amount of money that could of been spent into making extracurricular activities that could help a student in there future lives.Have you ever thought of 10000 dollars spend into installing air conditioning that could have gone into educations equipment. If you add all the money that is used to run the air conditioning in a year it will make an average of 27,000 dollars.
Thirdly the environment dies because of air conditioning we do not even need.7 percent of all the gas pollution comes from schools using air conditioning.AC systems use large amounts of electricity, often generated from fossil fuels, contributing to greenhouse gas emissions. Many AC systems us hydrofluorocarbons with thousands of times more potent than carbon dioxide in terms of their global warming potential.Even small leaks can have a big impact on the climate, making them a serious concern in the environmental
This is why you must stop air conditioning so children and the environment can have a much better future.

Why We Should Ban Air Conditioners in Winter in Classrooms (by Ayman)
What if I told you that air conditioners are a terrible idea for classrooms in winter? They waste money, make the cold worse, and harm the environment. Sounds pretty bad, right? Well, let me show you why banning air conditioners during winter might actually be a smart move.
Firstly, air conditioners are completely unnecessary in winter. These machines are designed to cool down spaces — exactly the opposite of what we need in cold weather. In fact, many people forget that running an air conditioner in winter not only makes the room colder but also forces students and teachers to wear extremely thick coats and scarves indoors, which are really costly. And they are uncomfortable and distracting. Instead of learning, students are focused on staying warm.
Secondly, Children are getting excessively cold. Since winter is already cold enough, making the children even colder by using the air con is going to at minimum will freeze their bodies making them unable to come to school. It’s like saying ‘too cold; even more cold’ to yourself. Using the air con inside is like laying down shirtless on Antarctica.
In addition, Air conditioners are negatively impacting the environment. Air conditioners are harming the environment primarily by using The Urban Heat Island Effect, Refrigerants, and Fossil fuels for powering the AC and CO2 for contribution with it.
Conclusion, Air Conditioners can be useless to us in various different ways such as making children excessively cold, becoming extremely costly to run it and it negatively impacts it in various different ways.

Cold Classrooms, Bad Mood: Let’s Turn It Off!
Close your eyes for a moment and imagine this: it’s a cold winter morning. The grass outside looks silver with ice, as if it’s been sprinkled with glitter. The windows in our classroom are foggy, and your breath creates tiny clouds in the air. You’re wearing your warm jumper, and your hands are tucked into your sleeves. Then—whoosh!—the air conditioner suddenly turns on, and the cold air hits you like a snowball to the face. Your skin prickles, and you start to shiver. Why are we cooling a room that’s already freezing?
Leaving the air conditioning on in winter doesn’t just make us uncomfortable—it’s hurting the planet. That cold air comes at a cost. Every second the air con is running, it’s using electricity that often comes from burning fossil fuels. That means more smoke, more pollution, and more damage to our beautiful Earth. Even though we can’t see it, we’re filling the sky with invisible fumes. Trees suffer. Animals lose their homes. Oceans warm up. And we’re sitting in a classroom pretending we need to be colder?
Let’s talk about how it makes us feel, too. That dry, artificial air stings your nose and makes your throat feel like sandpaper. You hear the humming of the machine, steady and annoying, like a fly buzzing by your ear. It makes it hard to concentrate. Wouldn’t you rather feel the soft warmth of your scarf, sip a cup of hot chocolate, and smell that rich, sweet cocoa in the air? That’s the kind of winter comfort we should be enjoying.
We don’t need machines to make us colder—we need minds that make better choices. Let’s be the class that leads the change. Let’s be the school that cares.
It’s time to switch off the cold and switch on the care. Let’s turn it off—for the planet, for our comfort, and for our future.

Air conditioning should be banned in classrooms during winter.
Do you like being blown into an ice skeleton from an air conditioner on a freezing day? I don’t, and no one does, really. The chilly wind seeps through your skin, and clings onto your bones. It cackles, as you shiver and find something to warm yourself up. I strongly agree that the ‘Air-Con’ should be banned in classrooms during winter, to save energy, and reduce the cause of children from getting sick.
Firstly, banning air conditioning helps the environment in many ways. You see, manufacturing these large and chunky machines uses a lot of energy, both manually, and by using massive amounts of fossil fuels. By only turning the ‘air con’ on in summer, it can double the lifespan of the machine, which also helps the factories reduce the production. But that isn’t the end of it, there is also the energy used at the place that it is installed. When you don’t use it for the whole of winter, that is half the energy, or at least a quarter of energy saved. That plays a huge role in climate change, as there are so many classrooms only using half the energy they used to use.
In addition, banning air conditioning in winter prevents the possibility of sickness inside the classroom. Well, the teacher turns the air conditioner into a heater, but then when the children are leaving the classroom, a wave of coldness will hit them, and they will develop a sickness from it. Also, the lack of ventilation while the air conditioning is on, so the warm air cannot escape, can cause mold growing, and that is a hazard, especially for younger children. Studies show that children growing up in damp conditions without ventilation are more than 15% percent more likely to develop asthma or other respiratory illnesses, before the age of nine.
In conclusion, air conditioners should definitely be banned in all classrooms during winter, because it reduces energy, and also prevents children from being sick.

Why should we ban air conditioning?
Imagine stepping into a classroom on a winter morning. A chill going down your spine or when you use it there is power outages or annoying sounds distracting young explorers from learning. How annoying is that?
So why should we ban air conditioning immediately?
Firstly, who wants to be sick? It’s already cold in winter so why would you turn it on if it will make you sick? Then, if you are sick, you will miss school and important info could be on the loose. How are we supposed to focus in our learning if we are sneezing, wrapped up like burritos or having the room like an icebox?
Additionally, there are smarter ways to reduce energy use. It’s already cold in winter so why would we turn on air conditioning if its cold. It’s just a waste of energy. Instead, we can upgrade to energy-efficient systems, improve insulation, and use smart thermostats. Spend your money trying to find ways for children to have a better life instead of using a torture device. It keeps us well protected, reduces energy and helps us learn better without the annoying sound when you use too much energy.
I know on some days in winter its hot, but it doesn’t mean you could use air conditioning all the time plus its very rare. Instead, go outside and enjoy the warmth of the sun before it’s too late! Nature is the ultimate time to enjoy.
Schools should ban air conditioning, because if they do, then they could save energy for crucial stuff. It can also prevent sicknesses, helping you to learn in class, get better marks and have better careers. Just one mistake could ruin a young explorer’s life in a lot of things. I just think if a school gets everyone sick with a chill down their spine when students go home, they will move to a different school and the old school will be useless. So, let’s stay warm, stay smart, and protect both our planet and our people.
