  1. Hello fellow classmates! I am Sarah, and I am here to explain to you all why white is, without a doubt, the best colour by far for an A4 piece of paper. I am sure that, by the end of this speech, you will have no doubts whatsoever that white is clearly the best colour for an A4 sheet of paper.
To begin with, white is by far the best colour for this purpose because of the way the human eye works. Our eyes are drawn naturally to high contrast, and this makes it easier for us to focus on the text printed on white paper, as opposed to a different colour. While we can change the colour of the paper that we use on a regular, everyday basis, we cannot change the science behind the human body. This is just one reason as to why the best colour of paper is certainly white.
Do you ever see blue, yellow, red, orange, pink, or just about any other coloured paper other than white showcased in professional scenarios, such as formal meetings, interviews, or even school assignments and exams. The answer is simple: no. This is because any other colour of paper is seen as informal, and because white paper is generally preferred on an international scale.
Even if you are thinking, ‘but blue is my favourite colour, so why can’t I use that instead?’, another incredible quality of white paper is that, even though it is already white, if you put coloured ink on it, the ink stays that colour, unlike what would happen on coloured paper, where the ink would seep through the paper and change colour. What this means is that you can actually turn white paper any other colour you like, which is again, why white paper is the best colour for paper, because it can be more widely accepted, even when there are so many different people with so many different colours that are their favourites. Think of our poor teacher, if we all wanted different coloured paper for our school projects and assignments, how much she would have to invest her money and time into picking out the right number for each colour, and then make sure each person got the right colour paper! But if every school teacher just got a pack of white paper for everybody, we could all change the colour of it to be our own preferred colour. So not only is white paper the most effective for our eyes and professional, but it also saves us a lot of time and money.
In conclusion, white paper is clearly the best colour for an A4 sheet of paper because it is the most effective colour for our eyes, the most professional, is adjustable in terms of the colour, so that even if you dislike the colour white, you can quickly and easily change the colour of your white paper, unlike already coloured paper, and it saves everyone time and money. This is why white is undoubtedly the best colour for any sheet of paper. Thank you.
