The impact of technology in Schools.
In the middle of a yearly test, the class room was dead silent. The only thing you can hear is pencils screeching and intense breathing.
The answer is B because… a robot voice echoed.
Everyone turned to stare. The teacher didn’t notice because he was to busy “marking papers.” The test continued and an unknown student got away for cheating.

That is one problem with technology in schools. Lots of schools face that with some students getting away with academic fraud. About 59% of high school students cheat on exams. Also 36% of undergraduate students have confessed to plagiarizing written material. This can impact them in the future because if they rely on technology to much it might be hard to do future jobs. They might also get fired for not doing jobs properly. It also impacts the academic system refusing some actual talented kids from getting what they need.

That’s not the only problem with technology in schools. Another problem is distractions. If you do work on a device it is common for children to secretly play games or watching Youtube. It is known that 2 out of 3 students get distracted by online (mostly games). This can lead to low scores in future tests.
“We’re really working hard to be very mindful of what we choose to put kids on computers for,” said Kristy Zaleta, the principal of Rogers Park Middle School.
It is also a part of the reason they are banning phones in British schools. After the ban students will get better scores.

Technology can play a huge role in schools but there are some pros and cons. It is important to focus and actually try your best. One way you can do that is by putting the phone down and turning off notifications.

  2. Impact of technology on modern education

Technology’s impact on education is significant, thanks to the wide range of technology we have access to. Jack, a boy aged 11, claims, “We use our iPads every day at school to do writing, maths, and even art. The teacher marks all of our work on Google classroom”. This is the case in many schools around the world as technology is becoming more and more accessible.

In 2022 around 17.1% of students scored an ATAR of 90.00 or above, and in 2023 it was approximately 17.5%. Also in 2024, 17.8% of students who completed the ATAR exam received an ATAR of 90.00 or higher, based on UACs (Universities Admissions Centre) data. This proves that with platforms like Google Classroom or Google Classroom Suite on the rise they allow for better learning capability.

According to Dr Reneng, “67% of school districts nationwide revealed that they use Google Classroom and/or G Suite for Education frequently. And that 42% of school districts use Chromebooks or iPads on multiple occasions for instruction or tasks.” Dr Reneng also says that the rate at which people are learning is accelerating at a frightening pace thanks to these apps.

In a coastal school of the Northern Territory, they have to do their work on blackboards. This is a serious setback if they want to get better at anything; with the rest of Australia’s schools rushing ahead to implement tech, this school is being left behind. These children hold so much potential, yet the lack of resources makes it extremely difficult to learn. These kids will do anything to learn. They are so determined to learn that many will walk over 10 kilometres to get to school. And if technology is implemented into their school, these kids would finally have the chance to learn their hearts out.

When my mum was a kid, she would study hard in class. She would listen to every little detail and try her best in everything. However, when she would come home after school to do extra work she could never remember what strategies you needed to use. But nowadays, that isn’t a problem any more. All the strategies which the teacher has gone through are on an online platform, like Google Classroom. Thanks to this the people in class do not need to remember every little detail, if they forget they can just go on Google Classroom and check.

The impact technology has on modern education is great, as it allows for better learning and focus. Jack and the other children of his school are revolutionising the uses of technology in modern education. We should keep working on new ways to implement technology while bringing the schools which are a bit behind up to speed.

Have you ever wondered what happens when you stay active during lunch and recess? When physical activity is used as a break from academic learning time, post engagement effects include better attention and increased on-task behaviours. (Grieco et al, 2009; Bartholomew and Jowers, 2011). It also Improves Academics – Studies have shown that higher amounts of recess result in higher academic performance and higher test scores. Physical activity expedites the delivery of oxygen to the brain, which leads to much better overall performance in our daily lives .
Recess and lunch provides an essential break from the structured and demanding classroom environment. It gives children time to move, play, and interact freely, which helps reduce stress and recharge their energy. This unstructured time improves focus, behavior, and engagement when students return to class. Research shows that regular recess supports better concentration and academic performance, making it a vital part of the school day—not just a break from learning, but a way to support it.( http://www.pennfoundation.org.)
In conclusion, recess and lunch are important opportunities for students to develop in multiple ways. Encouraging physical activity during these breaks helps students stay healthier, perform better in school, and build stronger social connections. I always look forward to my recess and lunch in my school days.

  4. Technology is helping students learn in new and exciting ways. In many schools, kids use tablets, smartboards, and learning apps every day. A report from GoStudent says that 75 out of 100 teachers think new tools like simulations could even replace old-style exams. That shows how much things are changing!

Experts from the Australian Institute for Teaching say that technology works best when teachers use it with good teaching. They believe that teachers are still the most important part of learning, even with all the new gadgets.

Mr. Patel, a Year 5 teacher, told us how reading apps helped his class. “Some kids didn’t enjoy reading before,” he said, “but now they’re excited because the apps match their level and give them fun challenges.” His story shows how tech can make learning better for everyone.

So, while technology is helping us learn in cool ways, it’s not taking over. It’s working with teachers to make school more fun and help students do their best—just like in Mr. Patel’s class.

But there’s more to this change than just cool tools. Technology is helping schools move from one-size-fits-all learning to personalized learning for each student. Apps and platforms can now adjust to a student’s level, pace, and interests—making learning more fun and effective. Instead of memorizing facts for a test, students can explore ideas through simulations, games, and real-world challenges. This helps them think deeply and solve problems, not just remember answers.

Even though tech is growing fast, teachers are still the heart of the classroom. They guide studentsexplain ideas, and help them work together. Technology supports teachers—it doesn’t replace them. When used well, tech and teaching work together to make learning stronger.

So, while technology is helping us learn in cool ways, it’s not taking over. It’s working with teachers to make school more fun and help students do their best—just like in Mr. Patel’s class. And as schools continue to grow and change, this teamwork between tech and teachers will be the key to helping every student succeed.

The impact on technology on modern education in schools

It was the silent weapon the children all wanted, for those who never liked standard education technology was given for their will. But it was messed, technology didn’t even help them not even close. A student named Jonah Liles who is now in the last of primary school has stated that ” technology is for those who can’t do anything independently, it can be used well but, others have recorded lots of people using technology in ways you are not assigned to use it.

It created a big impact, students studies were changed it was described as the new tech era even schools advise kids to use tech for learning. Many are using to do homework or even during exams changing the learning lifestyle. Robots and AI are doing your tasks humans have the power to do these tasks as well, so why do humans handle this to AI? The reason is either that they can’t do the homework or they are absoloutely tired and want to skip work with a couple easy steps. Though it seems alright, due to this facotr students won’t learn and their afterlife will be completely ruined.

Additionally, it is widely stated that students misuse technology for standard studies where 18% are mishapps and 82% are for cheating. Many still argue that it is alright for students to use AI as a research tool to help them genereate ideas or brainstorm soloutions or even gather information for homework tasks. But this is basically considered cheating. Many proffesionals like Stanford education professor Antero Garcia, argues that technology in standard education makes school worse by promoting digital platforms for others to then bizzarely misuse it leading into many suspections and arguments.

To sum it all up I suggest that technology in modern education should be banned as many young aged ones are misusing tech and have not developed more maturity to use it. Due to this technology makes millions of young students inable to learn properly. Overall, technology is marked with an enourmous- NO!
