The path to NSW’s top schools runs through two major exam gateways, and our program prepares students for both.

HAST (Higher Ability Selection Test): Used by selective high schools such as Girraween, Penrith Selective, Normanhurst Boys, and others for lateral entry. Developed by ACER, the HAST assesses Reading Comprehension, Mathematical Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning, Written Expression, and Scientific Reasoning. It emphasises higher-order thinking and aptitude rather than curriculum-based content, making it a unique challenge that rewards specialised preparation.

EduTest: Used by the highest-ranking selective schools, including James Ruse, Baulkham Hills, North Sydney Boys, North Sydney Girls, Sydney Boys, and Sydney Girls for lateral entry. EduTest covers five sections: Verbal Reasoning, Numerical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, Mathematics, and Written Expression. With only a handful of places available at each school, competition is intense and thorough preparation is essential.

Bonus: Private School Scholarships: As an added benefit, our preparation also covers ACER, EduTest, and AAS scholarship exams used by 50+ NSW private schools, including Knox Grammar, Pymble Ladies’ College, Kambala, Queenwood, and Redlands. This gives students additional pathways alongside their HAST and EduTest preparation.
