Didn’t get into selective? Think that’s it?
It’s not even close.
In this free webinar, Steve will break down the full map of re-entry and scholarship pathways that most NSW families never find out about, including:
- The 26 partially selective high schools most parents have never heard of, and how many places they actually offer per gender
- Lateral entry from Year 8 to 11, which schools use HAST, which use Edutest, and what the actual cut-off scores look like
- The Year 11 re-entry window, the biggest and quietest entry point in the whole system. James Ruse takes 30 new students. Fort Street expands from 150 to 170. Most families have stopped looking by then
- The private scholarship track no one talks about. AAS, ACER, and internal tests across 30+ schools, with awards ranging from 25% to 100% tuition
- How to stack 3 to 4 applications in a single year without burning your kid out
Whether your child is in Year 4 or Year 10, this session covers every realistic shot at a top school from now through Year 11.

“The Perfect World That Wasn’t”
Saturday, 18 April 2026

45 minutes
Live on Zoom
What if you lived in a world with no pain, no war and no colour? And what if one day you discovered that everything your community told you was a lie?
In this free 45-minute live class, your child will dive into Lois Lowry’s The Giver and discover how one of the most celebrated authors in children’s literature used storytelling to explore what happens when a society sacrifices freedom for safety.
But this is not just a book discussion. Your child will learn the exact techniques Lowry used to build emotional depth and internal conflict, and apply them in their own writing, live on Zoom.
This class is designed for Year 3 to Year 6 students and will be led by Ms. Miranda, who scored 98 in HSC English Advanced.
What your child will learn:
- How dystopian world-building works and why the best writers use it to challenge the reader’s assumptions
- How to write powerful first-person voice and internal monologue (a key marker examiners look for in top-scoring narratives)
- How to show emotional conflict through a character’s thoughts rather than telling the reader how they feel
- How to write from a character’s perspective with depth and originality
For students in Year 3 to Year 6. Spots are limited.
