You are the leader of the Ice-Cream Society, and want to host a big party for international gelato day at your local shopping centre. Write a letter to persuade the town council to allow your ice-cream van to sell icecream on the street for the big day. Remember to use emotive language, a strong hook to open the letter, and back up your letter with factual evidence! (Approx 300 words)

Have you ever seen a child’s reaction when they eat ice cream? Well imaging if you can give hundreds of children the treat they have all been waiting for. Think about all the smiles and laughs of children walking down the street. You could achieve this if you let me sell ice cream from my ice cream truck next week on international gelato day.
Firstly we all know that every child’s favourite thing is ice cream. In order for every child that walks down my chosen street or road then they will instantly see my beautiful and colorful ice cream truck and within seconds they will be having the best time of their lives. I’m sure you’re not so cruel that you don’t want children to be happy.
Secondly if you let me sell ice cream next week on the International Gelato day, I can help you raise money for important things like fixing roads, paying staff, etc. on Next week’s special day, a multitude of people will be out and about looking to enjoy a cold, tasty treat. Think about how much ice cream I could sell and how much money I will raise.
Thirdly, selling ice cream from my truck helps small business growth and supports the local community. As an independent seller, I will create job opportunities. Operating a movable business also allows me to reach less developed communities that may not have easy access to treats or food services, making my truck a convenient option for many community members.
In conclusion, by letting me drive my ice cream truck tomorrow I can bring joy to the communities, raise funds and allow my ice cream truck to play a valuable role in supporting local communities.I can also provide easily accessible service to areas that may otherwise be dull and boring with nothing joyful to do, making it an essential addition to the community.
