The Program

Two phases. 19 days. Peak on May 1.

Phase 1 builds skill and technique. Phase 2 settles the nervous system. Your child arrives confident, not anxious.

Phase 1

Intensive Learning

6th – 17th April – 10 Days
  • English & Writing: 12pm-1pm daily
  • Maths & Thinking Skills: 4pm-5pm daily
  • 53 named techniques across every sub-topic
  • Past-paper patterns (2021-2025) every session
  • Speed reading, free-flow writing, typing drills
  • Nervous system & emotional hijacking training

Phase 2

Exam Conditioning

21st – 30th April
  • English Tue 5-6pm, Maths/TS Thu 5-6pm
  • Writing Fri 5-6pm, Trial Test Sat
  • Past-paper pattern drills (5 years of data)
  • Progressive difficulty settling curve
  • Peak then ease: real test feels manageable
  • Full trial test under real conditions
  • Final settling: “You are ready.”

Interspersed throughout the Sprint. Each deliberately undulating in content weighting, mirroring the unpredictable nature of the real exam. Personalised sub-topic reports after every one.

What We Cover

All 4 Selective components. Every question type.

Two sessions per day in Phase 1. English and Writing in the morning, Maths and Thinking Skills in the afternoon.

Reading Comprehension

Fiction inference, Australian poetry, non-fiction argument analysis, cloze passages, and vocabulary in context. Subvocalisation, Evidence Anchor, Skim-Scan-Deep, and Collocation Check drilled until automatic. Built from 5 years of Selective test patterns.

Writing

Narrative and persuasive writing under timed, typed conditions. 9 specific techniques: Idea Cascade, 3-Word Anchor, Power Openings, Echo Ending, 5-20-5 Split, 5-Senses Sweep, Sentence Variety, Register Switch, Zoom Lens. Writing is 25% of the test.

Mathematical Reasoning

Fractions, ratios, algebra, geometry, data interpretation, multi-step word problems. Cross-Cancellation, Bar Model, Estimation Bracketing, and Clustering. Every question at actual Selective difficulty, built from 2021-2025 test patterns.

Thinking Skills

Critical reasoning (P-C-E Framework), logical deduction (Grid Elimination), spatial reasoning (Corner Tracking, Fold Line Symmetry), numerical reasoning, and Truth and Lies. All 4 pillars with undulating prioritisation across sessions.
