The Year 4 Scholarship programme prepares students for Opportunity Class placement and Academic Scholarship Exams such as ACER, AAS, Edutest, and HAST.

This course helps students build the key skills needed for competitive exams, including flexible thinking, strong reading habits, clear writing, and confident problem-solving. It is designed to help students move from regular school-style questions into more challenging exam-style questions.

Students will learn how to read more strategically, reason carefully, write with structure, and approach difficult questions with more confidence. This gives them a strong foundation before moving into more advanced Year 5 and Year 6 exam preparation.

All lessons are live on Zoom. Course materials will remain available for review up to 2 weeks after the course ends, giving your child the opportunity to revise and reinforce what they've learned.

What if my child misses a session?
Year 4 Scholarship Essentials runs live via Zoom and sessions are not recorded. If your child misses a class, we'd encourage reaching out to your Success Coach via WhatsApp or WeChat so they can help your child catch up on what was covered.
Is this programme suitable for all Year 4 students?
Yes. Year 4 Scholarship Essentials is designed for students who are new to competitive OC and scholarship exam formats, helping them build the foundational skills needed before moving into more advanced Year 5 and Year 6 preparation.
How are the live sessions run?
Classes are delivered live in small groups via Zoom, with the Zoom link posted on the Scholarly Learning Platform ahead of each session. Students interact directly with the tutor throughout the class. A Success Coach is also available outside class hours via WhatsApp, WeChat, and the Scholarly Learning Platform.
What support is available outside class hours?
You can reach your Success Coach 7 days a week via WhatsApp, WeChat, Scholarly Ask (live chat), or a phone call, for any questions about homework, progress, or planning.
What happens after I enrol?
You'll receive the Zoom link for your child's session around a week before term starts (within 12 hours if you enrol after term has begun), sent by email, so check your spam folder. We also recommend messaging us on WhatsApp or WeChat straight after purchase so we can stay connected with you throughout the term.
