Meet “Handy,” a personal assistant robot built to elevate the everyday experience of home and work. This robot stands at waist height with a friendly, rounded design and soft pastel colours that make it inviting and unintimidating. Its “face” is an animated screen displaying expressive eyes that blink and smile, mirroring human emotions. The smooth, metallic body gleams under any light, while its gentle, robotic hum is as soft as a whisper.
Handy’s voice is calm and reassuring, slightly warm, with a tone that makes you feel listened to and understood. When it speaks, it adjusts to your preferred volume, creating an environment of peaceful productivity. Handy’s footsteps are barely audible, a soft shuffle as it glides, careful not to disturb the quiet of the room. It even emits a subtle, calming scent—like lavender and chamomile—refreshing the space as it moves around.
When Handy hands you something, its touch is unexpectedly gentle. Its “hands” are lined with soft, skin-like material that mimics the warmth of a friendly handshake. Handy’s fine motor skills let it hold objects as delicate as an egg or as heavy as a full coffee pot with ease, always adapting to what it needs to carry.
Handy can brew you a perfect cup of tea or coffee, finely attuned to your taste. With each sip, you can appreciate the precision of its brewing skills—rich, full-bodied flavours that taste like they were prepared by a top-tier barista. When it serves meals, it heats them to perfection, making everything feel homemade.
With Handy around, the house comes alive with a comforting atmosphere where every sense feels engaged and attended to, making life just a little easier and a lot more enjoyable.

The Earth Resource Harvester is an impressive machine with a sleek, futuristic design. Its surface is covered in solar panels that shimmer in the sunlight, efficiently capturing energy. Various compartments are organized and colour-coded to collect different resources such as minerals, soil, and vibrant greens. A digital display on the front scrolls through real-time information, showcasing the collected bounty and creating an enticing visual of abundance. This machine has so much power it can just gather resources in seconds which will help humans massively. As the machine begins its operation, it produces a gentle whirring, harmonizing with the natural sounds of the environment. A rhythmic clanking echoes as it drops harvested materials into their designated bins, creating a pleasing, organized symphony of efficiency. Occasionally, a cheerful beep indicates a successful extraction, blending with the chirping of birds and the rustling of leaves, emphasizing the beauty of this agreeable technological interaction with nature. The air around the Earth Resource Harvester is filled with the rich, earthy scent of freshly turned soil, mingling beautifully with the crisp aroma of sun-warmed grass. When the machine processes organic waste, it releases a faint, sweet fragrance that hints at compost and growth, invigorating the space. Every time it collects resources, a subtle hint of metallic tang enters the air, reminding you of the materials being efficiently utilized. The machine’s exterior feels solid and reliable, with buttons that offer a satisfying click every time you interact with them. The surfaces are cool to the touch, crafted from durable materials designed to withstand the elements. As you engage with it, the soft vibrations hum beneath your fingertips, giving a tactile assurance that the Earth Resource Harvester is working diligently to gather the planet’s treasures. The Earth Resource Harvester has become one of the most successful machines ever built by humans.

The Amazing Stellar Laser Cannon
By Walter Samuel Lawson
The Lolans have just invented a stellar laser cannon. This is because there are aliens that are about to invade Earth. A month ago, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s Voyager 1 discovered flying saucers that appear somewhat predominantly green and blue and green in colour. Voyager 1 detected a lot of flying saucers heading towards Earth. Some of which are also seen with dangerous rocket-propelled grenades and short-range laser cannons. Speed cameras detected that it would arrive at Earth within a fortnight. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration alerted world militaries and government agencies to put their wars on hold and to work together to produce ideas to obliterate the flying saucer fleet.
“It must be fake news. I do not believe in extraterrestrial life or UFO sightings,” one leader firmly stated. “NASA should be sued.”
Another leader stated, “We should trust NASA. They are a legitimate government agency of the United States.”
Most government officials of the United Nations trusted NASA, and because of democracy, all the United Nations members gathered in a conference room in New York City.
“As we all know, there will be aliens invading our planet within a fortnight,” hollered Bill Nelson in a megaphone, the chief executive officer of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, to make sure the back row can hear him.
“Boo!” exclaimed a huge crowd of audibly unwilling members.
Bill Nelson presented his photographic evidence on a projector. The coordinates are: 15h 26m 5.33S, -18° 18’ 50.1”
“It is Photoshopped!” a crowd laughed wickedly.
Throughout the meeting, Nelson was disgraced by some government officials. Nelson does not want the rest of the conference to be recorded in the press.
The countries that did not agree with Nelson’s “philosophy” agreed to try to disprove him by building a space probe to try to find the mysterious alien ship. They launched the probe and found the alien ships. With their own proof of Nelson’s “philosophy”, they sent their smartest scientists to join the weapon designing lab.
A German science content creator proposed the idea of a stellar laser cannon after his video about a hypothetical scenario of aliens invading Earth. Everybody liked that idea, so everybody started planning and building his idea. A NASA employee who learnt from Katherine Johnson found the function of how to land the stellar laser using a graphing calculator. Laser manufacturers made an online to-scale 3D model of the laser. Within a week, the portable laser had been created.
The portable laser was then launched and accelerated to 99.9999999996 percent of the speed of light. Eight minutes later, the laser was activated directly at the aliens. In two seconds, the alien ships were cooked (literally and figuratively).
