Week 5 Writing Homework

Writing Homework :

Write a story about Rick’s first day on the orphan train as he travels toward his new life. Remember to include rich details about both the places he’s leaving behind and the new sights he encounters! How does he feel as the familiar city fades away? What does he notice about the changing landscape? Who does he meet on the train? Use words from our vocabulary list to capture both the physical journey and emotional experience of this important transition.
