  1. As Amara was coming home from swimming classes, she noticed that there was a strange light coming from her grandparent’s beehive. She lives right next to her grandparent’s house with her mum and dad. She was not that interested in bees, as her curiosity grew bigger, she got lured to her grandparents’ back yard.
When she was in front of the backyard gate, she got a thought, a thought that stubbed her in her gut- should she tell her parents that she’s going there? “ They’ll say no .” she said. As she crept towards the beehive she heard little whispers, there was paint on the floor and there was something rubbery hitting her. For some reason Amara felt a tingling feeling coming thru her. “Surprise!” her mum and dad said. “Um it’s not my birthday today. ”she said confused. As her parents reminded her about her grandma’s birthday surprise she under stood everything.
When grandma and grandpa came they did the exactly the same thing she did to her. They danced, pranced and had a blast. The End.

Amara is an eleven-year-old girl, and she is a beekeeper in the Blue Mountains. Sadly, she lived all by herself because her parents died when she was seven years old. Her parents were both beekeepers and since young, they had always encouraged Amara to follow their footsteps. On the night of the full moon just after Amara was born, her parents buried a treasure under the snow to ensure that there is always an abundance of food and to keep Amara and the Blue Mountains safe from a mythical evil spirit.

One day, Amara was busy beekeeping and screamed “Ouch!”, as she accidentally tripped on an object that was as cold as the Artic wind. Curious, she took her shovel and started digging. Soon, a gold key-looking object revealed itself! As Amara held up the golden glowing key, the busy buzzing bees formed an umbrella with her inside. To her astonishment, everything went back to normal as soon as she let go of the key. Amara later discovered that her pet bees would form a shield around her whenever she touches the key. Little did she know that the key was actually the treasure that her parents had buried to protect her and her environment.

Confused, Amara now has the challenge on how to keep the key with her, without causing the bees to surround her, impacting her favourite beekeeping activities!

  3. Jasper walked around his farm. He saw beautiful things like the flock of birds, a herd of cows, and rows and rows of crops. However, there was on thing he absolutely missed. And that’s the beehive. It would glow in the night, and make sounds like creepy whispers, which will spread all around the farm. At dusk, Jasper decided to go and get some honey from the beehive. But this time, the beehive glowed like the sun. Jasper narrowed his eyes towards the beehive. He sliced open the beehive a bit, and scary whispers filled the clearing. The whispers sounded more angry than scary. He cut the beehive open more, and the whispers turned into furious hisses. Suddenly, he saw a glimpse of gold light, nearly blinding his eyes. He pulled the rest of the beehive apart. Then hundreds, if not thousands of gold coins spilled out into the darkness, followed by an eerie blue light and a loud scream. Then, everything went silent.
