  1. Speech Title: “More Recess, Better Results!”
Picture this: You’ve been sitting at your desk for hours, your brain feels like mashed potato, and your legs just won’t stop bouncing. All you can think about is getting outside, breathing fresh air, and moving around. But when recess finally comes… it’s over before you even catch your breath.
Sounds fair? I don’t think so.
We need longer recess—not just because we want more time to play, but because it helps us become smarter, healthier, and happier students.
    Recess Makes Our Brains Smarter
Research proves that after physical activity, our brains are more alert and ready to learn. It’s like recharging a battery—only instead of plugging in, we run, jump, laugh, and play. Longer recess means we come back to class more focused, with energy to actually pay attention.
    It Keeps Our Bodies Healthy
Doctors say we need at least 60 minutes of physical activity every day. But how can we do that if recess is only 15 or 20 minutes long? Longer recess helps fight stress, prevent obesity, and even boosts our immune systems. It’s like a workout and a happiness booster at the same time.
    It Teaches Us Life Skills
Believe it or not, the playground is one of the best classrooms. It’s where we learn how to solve problems, make friends, take turns, and bounce back from failure—like when we fall and get back up. More time on the playground means more chances to grow into kind, confident people.

So what do we do? We speak up. We write to our principal. We ask our student council to help. We tell adults: “We’re not asking for a break—we’re asking for a better future.”
Because when kids get more time to play, everyone wins.
Let’s make recess longer. Let’s make school better. Let’s start today.

  3. The Credibility of The Internet

    Good morning, everyone.

Imagine this: You’re scrolling through social media, and you see a post. It’s sensational, it’s divisive, and it immediately sparks a reaction in you. 95% of our world’s teenagers actively use social media and in a world of deepfakes, lying and manipulation its easy to get swept off our feet. Social media is something that controls our every move, influences our every choice and changes the way we perceive reality. Of course we don’t want this and this won’t happen if we have the skill of critical thinking. Critical thinking not only helps us be more knowledgeable but also helps us seperate right from wrong, a vital skill.

I want to talk about something profoundly important for us, as humans navigating the complexities of our world: the impact of critical thinking in judging right from wrong. We’re bombarded with information, opinions, and pressures from every direction – from our friends, from the internet, from society itself. Without a sharp sense of critical thinking, it’s all too easy to get lost and misguided away, to accept narratives at face value, and to make decisions that, upon reflection, might not align with our true values.

Think about it. Critical thinking isn’t just about solving complex math problems or acing a debate. It’s about questioning assumptions, evaluating evidence, considering different perspectives, and recognising biases – both in others and, importantly, in ourselves. It’s about developing the mental muscle to discern truth from falsehood, to identify manipulation, and to truly understand the consequences of our actions, both big and small.

Critical thinking also means knowing what right, yes you don’t want to be fed the wrong information but you also want to take advantage of the right things. Consider the everyday choices we face. Most of those are led of what we find ethical and true, for example, online we see its flooding we shouldn’t go outside. Instead of assuming its social media it must be wrong, we must put the thought and our own opinion based on critical thinking to make a truly educated decision. Should I follow the crowd even when my gut tells me it’s not right? Should I believe every piece of information presented to me online, or should I take a moment to research its credibility? These are not trivial decisions. Each one shapes who we are becoming and the kind of world we are helping to create.

When we apply critical thinking, we empower ourselves to make informed, ethical choices. We move beyond simply reacting and begin to thoughtfully respond. We cultivate the ability to stand firm in our convictions, not just because someone told us to, but because we’ve genuinely reasoned our way to them. This is what critical thinking is.
    Thank you.

  6. Saving the environment
Nowadays, many people argue that they shouldn’t clean after themselves while others rebuttal we must work together and save the environment. I wholeheartedly, believe we certainly should save the environment because it is the only living organism in the whole-known universe.
To begin with, pollution causes global-warming which affects our planet. Scientists say our planets’ temperature has risen by 1 degree which you think is nothing. Well no, it actually has a huge impact. Plants and trees can be burned by bushfires due to the temperatures and our atmosphere might even explode. Do you want to risk that? To fix this problem we have to be socially sustainable, economically sustainable, recycle, reuse and reduce. As a result, if we all commit to this plan we can save our planet. Do your part before it’s too late!

    Title: Save the Oceans
Did you know that plastic takes hundreds of years to break down? People have to realise what they’re doing to our world. Especially the world’s oceans. Plastic gets into our oceans from illegal dumping and careless people that don’t read signs. Trillions of tonnes of plastic are being dumped into our oceans each year! Plastic is also responsible for killing sea life! And it comes into our bodies!

Here’s how. First, we put the plastic in the bin. Then garbage trucks dump it into our oceans. Over time, the plastic breaks down. Next fish feeding on small shrimp also swallow microscopic pieces of plastic called microplastics. Then we eat the fish. Then it comes into our bodies! Plus, plastic is indigestible–that means our stomach acids can’t break it down!

How do we fix it? Well, instead of using single use zip-lock bags, use reusable containers.

  8. Good morning, Peers and teachers
Climate change should be stopped! By Abhijeet Pol

Did You know that Fossil fuels and non-renewable energy lead to climate change? Well, it does, so we need to stop using these shameful energies and use renewable energy like biothermal, Geothermal, Windmills and more! Ways we could do this is at our home are installing solar panels, using biomass to heat our homes, install tiny wind turbines and use reuse plastic. Also use renewable transportation.
Firstly, 94.6% of the population do not have solar panels or any type of solar energy. We can decrease this percentage by working together and using solar panels in our area, recently our family got solar panels on our house because we want to live a sustainable lifestyle. Solar panels create more than 50% on the house electricity. Imagine every house apartment and other homes use solar panels, it would deplete climate change by 50%. That’s a lot for just one energy.
Secondly, I want to talk about plastic the number two cause to climate change, it’s just one idea so I can believe that we can get rid of it. If we get rid of it, the benefits are astronomical like the world would get cheaper, no litter, no mass extinction on specious and even more! But the way to do this is if you buy plastic ALWAYS RECYCLE IT and just don’t buy plastic resources. “Plastic is just a one-time use, don’t cover it on our infinite use Earth,” A quote by Abhijeet Pol.
Finally, having to see smoke or gas leaks from multiple vehicles could make you feel pity for the carbon footprint, but we can change that. To change that we need a plan, maybe sometimes when you are going to school in one car you could call your friends over and carpool, we could also use solar panels on vehicles like electric cars, metro and even planes. Fuel, just FUEL, well fuel is a major antagonist to the world; to make fuel we need factories and to fuel factories we need non-renewable energy. So we need to use electric cars, if we all use electric cars the Earth would be shining like never before.
Subsequently, we need to stop using non-renewable energy, ditch the plastic and use smarter ways to get around the world. This all would lead to a wayyy better life for younger generations. So stand with me “We Need This World To Be Much Better!”

  9. Why the environment we are standing on must change
Well have you ever wondered why the environment has to change? Well guess what today we are going to discus and explore why the Earth must change. But first off all what is Earth? Earth is the land you are standing on; it is currently very dirty and not hygienic.
Hi, my name is Poojyasrita Kurra, and I am going to convince you to change the environment. Now a days, the Earth is dirty because of how we are littering, not showing respect, and starting fights. Earth has been finding ways to cleanse itself but, Earth can’t find a way and hence we need to help Earth. That being the case, You must take care of the environment.

Why are we littering? Well, if you didn’t know that many people have started to become lazy and start to throw belongings that they don’t need out in the lake, which is causing a problem for people around lakes. Garbage bins are a thing here and we made them to use them so use them and throw your rubbish in the bin. If we don’t have oxygen, then we can’t breathe and if we have no trees, we have no oxygen so if we are lazy then we lose our hearts and hopes to, so please help the environment to become a better place. As a matter of cause, You must take care of the environment.

Why are we rude to the environment? People are Being rude to the environment because they don’t know the truth about the environment which is, you were born on this Earth and will die on this earth, but we never treat Earth kindly. We must treat this environment kindly, not by throwing garbage cans littering plastic and much more. If we help the environment by cleaning up and growing plants, you can make a wonder. For that reason, You must take care of the environment.

Don’t you hear strangers fight in public? Well, I certainly do, and they argue about garbage or the mess around their house. This is not only leading to us littering and effecting growth but also getting us involved with fights. Fights are something that are causing trouble to many people, which is why people are complaining. The world has become louder and louder, which is causing the world to be messier and messier. Thus overall, you must take care of the environment.

To conclude, we as a school must not litter, show respect to Earth and cannot cause arguments, this is so we don’t cause any harm to the environment. Once again Earth was the land we were born on and we will die on Earth so treat Earth with respect. Therefore, You must take care of the enviroment.

    DAY 4 Persuasive speech

  10. should children be allowed to play violent video games?
violence. violence is popular in many schools. several kids have been caught swearing at others and tackling other and this is violent.well we don’t want to spread this to video games!

When a child is doing a video game they will consider them self as a character in the video game. They behave in the same way as the character in the game then they the habit and they won’t have control if they play for a long time. If this happens in a video game then it will be a massive problem for a parent or carer to control the child.violent games can unleash serious problems to a child under the age of thirteen. One of them is starting to physically and verbally abuse someone.Another is getting terrifying nightmare which will have a BIG impact on a child’s brain and sleeping hours. This may cause a child to be hated by physical and verbal abuse used against classmates ,friends and teachers.Playing violent video games in the age 1-10 your future is ruined.

The brain of a child is not as developed as an adult so they will not stop playing the violent game as what I said it will be a negative impact on a child’s brain.some vr games can cause fatal injuries and mass destruction mostly in boxing games

finally ,I wouldn’t recommend children playing violent

  11. Title – Animal abuse should come to an end
Imagine millions of animals trapped in concrete cells, smaller than your bathroom, torn from there families for selfies or reduced to circus for acts in tanks. Maybe even to get killed for food and deprived of potential clothing. This is known as animal cruelty. These animals are vulnerable in our community and protecting then is our responsibility. If not, that then at least caring for ourselves sounds reasonable as theses animals can carry such diseases that can kill us.
Animal cruelty lies as the fundamental platform for the reason of why we should say no to animal abuse. These innocent animals are torn out of there families for food, clothing or circus shows and entertainment. Now imagine if that happened to you and that instead of names you are labelled in numbers. You will then be taken out into the lab room, life thriving In the bare hands of scientist, knowing that you are the next patient in list for Revlon’s ultimate super dark intense hair colour formula. Your peers come back with there paws broken, backs tilted eyes sore, while some deep relations may just collapse in the moments of time as they won’t come back. yet this may seem like a scene from a horror movie, however this is the reality for these animals.
While this is an important point to think form and should be raised in awareness, animals also carry untold disease which a human cannot bear. These diseases weave the intricate fabric of our society acting as the ultimate illness platform. These diseases are often found in the farm animals we consume. Doo you know that covid 19 was made by 2 animals that had a disease each and that over 100,000 people dies because of this. That’s a big number of people!
To sum up everything I have said, animal abuse lies more that in the mistreatment of animals as we can also be harmed by this act as these animals carry such diseases. While it can violate the rights that humans set for themselves and be cruel to animals. So, lets help and involve ourselves, act fast and save the lives of these innocent animals.

  12. Camilla Huang

If the ocean could speak, would we finally listen?
Imagine standing at the edge of a cliff, staring out a our vast, shimmering ocean. It looks endless. But what if i told you i simple piece of rubbish you throw becomes a major problem. It could impact over millions and millions of marine species and could cause destruction and climate change.

Beneath the waves lies a endless world that we may never see again. Swirling schools of silver fish, delicate coral gardens, majestic whales gliding silently though the deep while singing. But, this vibrant life is fading every year by year. That is why i’m here to talk about this topic.

You might be wondering, why should we care? Because the ocean is not just just a beautiful mystery with things that are not discovered, it our life source.
The sea provides over 50% of out oxygen that we breathe. It absorbs a massive amount of carbon dioxide, helping the Earth maintain it’s climate. It feels billion and trillions of people all across the world and it fuels economies around the world. When sea life dies, we lose more than just beauty, we lose balance.

If we don’t change courses, we risk our lives by losing air, lifeless waters and no sea food.Protecting sea life isn’t just about saving animals. It’s about protecting the heartbeat of our planet.

So now, the ocean has suffered enough. The ocean is calling, will we answer? The next time your at the beach will you throw your rubbish in the bin?
