  1. RING! RING! My alarm clock buzzes as I get up from bed. I smack the clock with my pillow and pack for school. My sibling is waiting for me to finish my breakfast as the bus is shortly going to arrive. We wave ”bye” to ourf parents and head to the bus stop. VROOM! The bus stops, and I settle in a seat next to my friend annabelle. The bus takes us to school at 8:15 and my friend and I put our bags down.

30 minutes later, and we sit down in our seats. The teacher announces the things we will be doing today. I wasn’t really listening, but when the words “forbidden forest” came out of her mouth, I knew my friends would push me into that forest to overcome my fear. Hopefully they didn’t hear that. But when I looked over my shoulder, all 3 of them were smirking slyly. I knew this day was going to be a disaster.

RING! RING! RINGGG! Everyone burst out of the classroom excitedly, and grabbed their recess. My friends and I headed to the forest with confidence and fear. But I was the most petrified, because according to the latest gossip, inside the forest were GHOSTS. We did a quick game of “rock, paper, scissors” to decide who would go in first. And with my rotten luck, I lost, and my friends were bribing me with things if I went in first. I took a deep breath and stepped into the forest. I signaled ” safe” to my friends and they followed me in. We had no idea what was waiting for us.

Brrr! The forest was freezing cold, and to make matters worse, I could see frozen animals trying desparately to get out. Finally, we reached the depths of the forest. This was the creepiest part of the ” one time experience.” Suddenly, I heard a sound that sounded strangely like a ghost. We laughed, thinking it was just annabelle( friend), who was terribley good at impressions, but she wasn’t laughing. SNAP! A see-through figure started to approach us. Luckily, I am REALLY smart and had the BEST plan to escape this nightmare. RUN!!! I grabbed my friends by the arm and rushed out of the forest before the giant “ghost” got us. But we heard our names on the school speaker and knew that staying in the forest was a MUCH better idea than going to the office. JUST GREAT.

What happened after that, you may ask. I’ll give you three words: CLEAN. TOILET. LUNCH. So next time you hear that there is a fobidden forest near your school that might have ghosts, don’t go in. Because the punishments are MUCH, MUCH, WORSE. I still smell like the school bathroom after a week of cleaning the toilets.

    That Last Minute Decision
It was a normal boring day at school – Math, English, History and Science. Or at least it seemed normal… Suddenly, the siren started.
‘ We are under lockdown, teachers lock all doors and windows and close your blinds.’ My friends and I were screaming our heads off, as we ran out of the class before our teacher could close the door. As we were running we heard footsteps behind us. We ran even faster, and listened to the sound of a gun reloading.

Areba, Haiku and myself sprinted out of the school and bolted out of the gate before anyone could catch us. The sounds of gunshots echoed past. We were sure the kidnapper was still behind us so we didn’t dare to stop or look back. After a long time of intense running there was nothing we could do but have a break and look back.

We were so thirsty so we started walking in search of water and each of us were reassuring each other saying it’s fine. Suddenly, myself, Areba and Haiku floated up into the sky and gained incredible powers. Areba exclaimed that she could hear voices murmuring in her ears that your dream is here. Once all of that happened our group immediately saw a pool of water. “Yay we finally found some water and have superpowers”! The second we drank the water I was transported back to my house and so did the others. THat was the time I finally realized if i had to do it alone I would not be here right now.

So I hope you now know that having best friends is more than anything.
