Writing Prompt: Write the opening ~200 words of a short narrative that begins in medias res — right in the middle of something exciting, chaotic, or surprising. The story should open with immediate action, pulling the reader straight into the moment.

You must include:
* A dynamic opening sentence that starts mid-action (e.g. “Wham! The bucket flew past my head.”)
* At least three sensory details (e.g. sound, texture, temperature, smell)
* Two vivid verbs that bring the action to life
* One figurative device, such as a simile or alliteration
* A sense of urgency or confusion that leaves the reader asking “What just happened?”
