“Should our school install solar panels?”
Every day, our school uses a lot of electricity for lights, computers, air conditioning, and many other devices. Currently, most of this electricity comes from coal and other nonrenewable fuels, which pollute the air and harm the environment. However, there is a way to help our Earth. Installing solar panels can provide clean, renewable energy from the sun, which never runs out and does not create harmful pollution. Solar energy is eco-friendly, cheap, and will reduce the amount of energy used.
I strongly believe solar panels should be used in schools because solar panels are eco-friendly. Unlike coal or gas, the sun gives us energy without creating harmful pollution. According to the Australian Renewable Energy Agency, every solar panel helps cut down greenhouse gases that make the Earth hotter. If our school chooses solar power, we will be protecting animals, plants, and people from the dangerous effects of climate change. Don’t we all want clean air and a safe planet for the future?
Without a doubt, solar panels also save a lot of money. A normal Australian household can save between $800 and $2,000 a year by using solar power. Since schools use much more electricity, they can save $20,000 to $50,000 every year, and some large schools have saved over $80,000. That money could be spent on new books, sports equipment, technology, or improving playgrounds. Solar panels are not only good for the environment, they are smart for our budget too. Imagine walking into a school powered by clean, bright energy from the sun every day, our classrooms, computers, lights, and playgrounds all running on free, renewable energy.
Since schools use technology all day, having solar panels will reduce the amount of energy used. The sun gives us free and renewable energy every day, so our school would rely less on electricity made from fossil fuels. Imagine walking into a school powered by clean, bright energy from the sun every day, our classrooms, computers, lights, and playgrounds all running on free, renewable energy. Installing solar panels is not just a choice, it is a step toward a brighter, smarter, and cleaner future for everyone at our school.
Therefore, installing solar panels at our school is the smartest choice we can make. Solar energy protects the environment, saves thousands of dollars annually, and provides a renewable source of power that never runs out. It will also save the school thousands of dollars every year that could be used to improve learning, buy new equipment, and make our school a better place for everyone. Unlike coal and other nonrenewable fuels, solar energy comes from the sun, which never runs out and does not harm the planet.
I definitely believe that installing solar panels is beneficial for not only the school, but also for the ecosystem. Solar panels are using renewable energy resources, cheaper than electricity and we can stop destroying the ground. Therefore, solar panels are absolutely worth it.
To begin with, solar panels use solar power. As suggested by their name, the power generated by solar panels come from the Sun, which comes up everyday, meaning the power generated by it is infinite. That makes it a renewable energy source, unlike fossil fuels, using fossils from the ground, and the fossils could instead be displayed at the museum! For that reason, solar panels will never run out of sources.
Additionally, solar panels are cheaper than electricity. According to Energy Matters, electricity is becoming more expensive while solar panels are becoming cheaper. If you buy solar panels, that means that you can pay less for “electricity” bills! Thus, solar panels are cheaper than electricity.
To end with, solar panels can stop us from destroying the ground. For solar panels, all you need to do is attach it to your roof, but fossil fuels you need to extract it from the ground. It could also help with climate change, as factories normally use smoke, making climate change harder to fight. So, solar panels can stop us from destroying the ground.
In conclusion, solar panels are definitely worth it. Solar panels are eco-friendly, cheaper than electricity and don’t need a whole process of extracting. If everyone used solar panels, electricity bills might not exist! Wouldn’t you like that?
Whyis school so important? We always go to school from monday to friday so that we can have an easier life in the future. Parents want their children to be successful a lot in the future. How does school provide all that education? Teachers were also kids before and learnt lots of knowledge. Now, teachers pass on everything they have learnt to students! They teach kids things of all sort. But how does education support our future lives? All that knowledge we have learnt as kids from education, can help us fin jobs and let us complete tasks easier. Like if we learn science then its easier to be a scientist or if we learnt maths then its easier to become a mathematician. So that is why education is reallly important for us.
“Why Our School Needs Composting Now: Turning Scraps into Soil”
Have you ever noticed how much food waste piles up after school lunch? Doesn’t it seem like a shame to throw away apple cores, banana peels, and half-eaten sandwiches when they could actually serve a purpose? And isn’t it worth asking: if our school could help the environment in such a simple way, why wouldn’t we?
That’s why I am proposing a school composting initiative. Instead of letting food scraps go to landfill—where they create methane gas and do nothing useful—we could collect them and turn them into compost for our school gardens and grounds. Wouldn’t it be amazing to see our flowers, trees, and even classroom plants growing stronger because of what we once called “rubbish”?
Composting would bring several benefits to our school. Environmentally, we’d reduce waste and cut down on the number of bins that overflow each week. Educationally, students could witness the science of decomposition first-hand, connect classroom learning with real life, and take pride in seeing the results. Socially, it would make our school stand out as a leader—because who wouldn’t admire a community that turns leftovers into life?
And here’s a lighter point: fewer overflowing bins would also mean fewer curious birds swooping down to steal food, and fewer unpleasant smells drifting across the playground. Isn’t that something everyone could appreciate?
Of course, this wouldn’t require a huge change. With a few compost bins and some simple instructions, our school could begin making a positive impact immediately. Step by step, scrap by scrap, we’d build something valuable for both our environment and our education.
So, shall we turn waste into wisdom? I believe we can.
