Hello everyone!
My name is Alex, and I’m from 2060. I know that sounds crazy, but I have travelled back in time to share something super important with you. I want to talk about recycling, and why it will be one of the coolest things you can do for our planet!
First of all, let me tell you a little secret. In the future, I’ve seen what happens to our Earth when we don’t recycle. It’s pretty scary! There are huge piles of trash everywhere, animals are losing their homes, and the air is so dirty that it sometimes makes people sick. But here’s the good news; if we start recycling now, we can change our future and make it a better place to live!
Recycling is important because it helps reduce waste. When you throw something away, like a plastic bottle or a piece of paper, it goes to a landfill, where it can stay for hundreds of years—that’s a long time! But when you recycle, those items can be turned into new things. For example, your plastic bottle can be made into a new bottle or even a cool jacket. Isn’t that amazing?
Also, recycling saves energy! Making new products from raw materials takes a lot of power. But when we recycle, we use less energy because we’re using stuff we’ve already made. In the future, we discovered that recycling saves a lot of electricity, which helps keep our planet cooler. Recycling more, we can help fight global warming, a big problem that can change our weather and hurt our Earth.
Let’s not forget about the animals! In the future, I’ve seen sad pictures of animals struggling because of pollution and litter. When we recycle, we help keep our oceans and lands clean, which means happier and healthier animals. We want to ensure our furry, feathered, and finned friends have nice homes.
Now, you might be wondering how you can recycle. It’s super easy! You can have special paper, plastic, glass, and meta bins at home and school. When you finish using something, think, “Can I recycle this?” If the answer is yes, put it in the right bin! You can also talk to your friends and family about recycling, and encourage them to do the same.
In conclusion, recycling is a small action that can make a HUGE difference. You guys have the power to shape the future and protect our planet. Let’s work together to recycle, reduce waste, and help make Earth a better place for everyone, including the future students of 2060! Thank you for listening, and let’s start recycling today!

“ Hello everyone. I hope you can understand me as the last time I checked the language in the 1980’s it was English. Now, I am not here to give you a lecture on recycling, but am to show you what it will do to the planet you call home. To effectively show you this, I am going to tell you a story.
Imagine, if you will, a world where the air is so thick with pollution that it’s difficult to breathe, where forests have been cleared to make way for sprawling cities, and where the oceans have become dumping grounds for plastic and chemicals. In this world there was a boy named Bob. He was a teenager around your age and he immersed himself into topics like environmental conservation and how to address global warming. You know though he was unsuccessful with his ambition, he aided families to safety and earned trillions of dollars. This situation wasn’t science fiction. It was reality. Earth became unable to succumb to any form of life and we had to migrate. I am giving you a chance to be another Bob.
It’s not that hard to be honest. But before I blabber on about how to save our world, I am going to show you the impact it has brought upon us. We experienced several natural disasters ,unpredictable storms, devastating floods, heatwaves, and droughts. Even with new technological advancements, each moment we are petrified on the next natural disaster. Your adorable pets have faced extinction and there is no ecosystem any more.
This will be the life your children, grandchildren or even yourself might be experiencing. Don’t get me wrong, but the speeches where the speaker lists out a way on how to stop climate change is cringe, so I will be running this differently. I am going to show you the results. “ The speaker points to a hologram on the board.
“Now you see this man, he is strolling through the streets and sees a piece of rubbish. What should he do? Pick it up or leave it.” The students neglected the fact and chose to leave it.
“ Watch what happens.” The hologram transformed the surrounding, The world became coated with visible pollutants and there was eternal darkness. The students were mesmerized.
“ Now I am not asking you to reluctantly pick up someone else’s litter and recycle it. I am asking you to spread awareness globally. I am the messenger, you are the changers of the world.
Now, I ask you: Will you be the one who looks back in regret, knowing you could have acted but chose not to? Or will you be the ones who inspire future generations to live in harmony with the Earth, who fought for a world where climate change was no longer a crisis, but a lesson learned?
You are the trailblazers of tomorrow. The future’s not written in books, it is weaved through the actions that we make today. So take action now. Recycle, spread awareness, and become the saviors our planet so desperately needs. The Earth is waiting for your leadership.
Thank you.”

Why we should recycle ♻️
Introduction:
Imagine this, a human from the future time travelling into the 1980s to explain an urgent problem in the future. Well that’s what is happening right now. In 2060 I have seen incredible advancements such as robots and time travel but my biggest concern I have encountered is what human impact has done to the environment. It is devastating how we pollute the earth and to prevent this I will be explaining to you why we should take care of our land so you can preserve our planet for future generations.
Excitement of recycling: 🤩
Well, what is a solution to take care of the environment? Well we can start to recycle. When we recycle we use materials we don’t need and reuse the item. Recycling isn’t just picking up rubbish, it is saving our common home. The excitement of recycling items we don’t need is that not only is it simple and fun but it is significant to our planet. When we recycle we make sure we are preventing throwing away more items and letting more rubbish be sent to landfill. When we do this we can understand how important our environment and ecosystem is to us.
How recycling benefits our planet: 🗑️
100 million marine animals die due to the plastic thrown away into the ocean not including the other major factors on how animals die and 14 million tonnes of rubbish ends up in landfill. Not only that but Annually, 2.12 billion tons of waste is produced across the world. If everyone recycles a piece of rubbish every day we would recycle 3,004,538,770,550 pieces of rubbish which is one thousand times more rubbish than we throw away. Clearing out rubbish makes you more organised and we can prevent sea creatures from death and becoming hurt.
Recycling at home and school: 🏡
This is an urgent situation that you should definitely participate in. You can reduce plastic at home and in any situation. When shopping you can reuse paper or plastic bags as long as you don’t throw both of them away and make sure you use a reusable water bottle when thirsty. You can participate in activities that include picking up rubbish and always put your rubbish in the bin instead of littering. You shouldn’t use single use plastic bags unless you reuse them and you also shouldn’t use single use paper cups either. Now you have learned some ways that you can recycle while you are at home or at school.
Become a recycling champion: 🏆
This is an urgent reply and we need you to contribute to recycling. When you help throw away a piece of rubbish you are helped. From all my reasons such as the benefits for our common home (earth), why don’t you decide to help save our environment, become a recycling champion and make a change to the future.
Other facts:
-Plastic takes 20 to 500 years to decompose
– more than 16 million chip packets are being thrown away every day.
-seagulls die the most from plastic pollution

Ladies gentleman, there is a massive problem in the future. I come from the year 2060, where sea level rise so high that most of the 19.5 Billion people on planet Earth are evacuated to Central Canada to survive. Climate change is the inducement of the horrific future. I have come here as a last resort, to see if you can save the future. I do not know what year this is in, but we need your help, so our future generations will not have to live under the harsh conditions from where I come from.
First of all, we need to save our future generations from climate change. Do you really want your grand or great grand children to be doomed and not live the life you wanted them to? Recycling saves resources. By recycling, you’re helping to reduce the number of natural resources we use. Recycled goods are repurposed into new products, which means less raw resources are taken from the earth and fewer resources are used in processing, slowing down climate change. In the future, an active volcano erupts daily, threatening the life of many, tsunamis are a constant threat, and earthquakes are deadly.
Secondly, recycling is very simple and will benefit the future greatly. In a study conducted in 2053, It was proven that if everyone in the 1980s recycled, the future would be a lot more positive. In many movies and films, the future is amazing, but in reality, it is a hellish place. All I’m asking for is you to become recycling stewards, and spread the word. I can not tell you much more, as this may disrupt the future even more, but please trust me. Recycling is as simple as putting your rubbish in the right bins, or creating craft out of recycled material, such as plastic bottles.
Thirdly, recycling is cheaper, and is for everyone. In the world you live in, it looks like recycling is needed and a large waste of time, but in actual fact, by the year 2034, (if we had implemented recycling) it would have saved 34.3 Trillion Dollars. Also, a future running on green energy, with be a lot more efficient, faster internet, faster cars, faster things in general.
If you choose to be recycling stewards, thank you so much, and you will save the whole planet. Remember, spread the word of recycling, and gook luck!

Ok, Students 1980’s, I am from the future and I will teach you what will happen in the future if we were to continue polluting. So Apparently in the future 2060 our earth is about to die but this earth is happy and healthy and we want this so we don’t live in a junkyard like me. How would you feel if your children have to live in junk? I don’t think you will feel quite well worrying all about the disease and the rats that live in that mess. Now, not many electric cars are being built, which is not good because exhaust fumes can hurt our trees and because if this continues, exhaust fumes will kill our trees and 28% of our oxygen will disappear. How would you feel if you had to cough everywhere you go?
Losing air is not good , but having polluted air is a whole step worser. Prolonged exposure to polluted air can cause severe and chronic health issues, leading to a reduced quality of life and increasing mortality rates. Long-term impacts of air pollution include: Chronic respiratory diseases, such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and asthma. If we continue to
Polluted air quality won’t only get worse but air pollution creates not only smog and reduces visibility but can also significantly decrease the amount of sunlight that reaches the earth. And as we know, sunlight is a key component of photosynthesis. With its lower dose getting to the plants, forests, and crops, we will see our food supply dwindle with the years. Air pollution also increases the risk of respiratory infections, heart disease, stroke, and lung cancer, and more severely affects people who are already ill. Both short- and long-term exposure to air pollution can lead to a wide range of diseases, including stroke, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, trachea, bronchus and lung cancers, aggravated asthma and lower respiratory infections.3 Dec 2024 Humans impact the physical environment in many ways: pollution, burning fossil fuels, deforestation, and more. Changes like these have triggered climate change, soil erosion, poor air quality, mass extinction, and undrinkable water, among other effects.
So kids if you guys continue to pollute this will happen and if you don’t pollute then your generation can live happily and survive, and if i am alive then there is a chance that you will save the earth. Goodbye students and remember to save the earth.

“Good morning, students of the 1980s. I came from 2060, where even though humanity has advanced way beyond the present time, so has pollution. If you travelled to my time, you would stare in awe at the modern skyscrapers and floating vehicles. However, the streets of 2060 are littered with rubbish, so deep that the ground is covered with 308 centimetres of garbage. In fact, much of that garbage is recyclable, but nobody has put in the effort to recycle it. I am here to tell you that recycling matters and it is all up to you to fix the future.
Imagine the streets outside flooded with garbage, so deep that the ground is not visible. In fact, my experience shows that by 2060, that is exactly what has happened. My first argument is that by recycling, we are reducing waste. If all the recyclable waste had been recycled, statistics show that waste levels would go down by 50% by 2060. Recycling helps reduce waste by a great quantity.
Moreover, by recycling, we are preventing things like plastic affecting wildlife. In fact, one hundred million marine animals die every year from plastic waste alone. If we recycled, that one hundred million would become almost zero. Think about all the poor, innocent animals fighting for their life, entangled in plastic waste. By recycling, we can save all these animals’ lives! When we recycle, we help the natural ecosystem around us!
Finally, we are slowly running out of resources in the earth’s crust such as fossil fuels and oil. Unfortunately, oil creates plastic. While we are harvesting oil from oil plants, the oil is slowly decreasing, leading to a gradual stop in plastic production. By recycling, we can reuse the plastic we have made. In fact, it is not just plastic! Paper can be recycled, decreasing deforestation. Glass can be recycled infinitely, meaning we should not have to turn more sand into glass. What people do not realise, is that aluminium can be recycled, putting our food wrappers to use. Recycling lets us reuse resources.
In conclusion, recycling is a necessary part of a balanced world. Recycling reduces waste, thus cleaning the streets and dumps, and keeps wildlife from being put in danger because of pollution. It even lets us reuse resources and save the precious materials in the earth’s crust. Recycling will hugely affect your future (and my present) world. Remember to recycle when you can and the year 2060 will be such a relief to see.
Thank you, everyone.
