  1. Breaking News

Russia and Ukraine war gets worse with every second as we speak!
Ukraine is a pile of rubble. Everywhere you look there is piles of bricks and dirt. In Ukraine, there is around 500 000 people that have died excluding soldiers. Hospitality is extremely low as there are not very many places to host hospitality. Nowhere is safe. People are hungry and lost. As the war worsens, more people are suffering. Ukraine needs all the help it can get to fight against Russia. People, utilities, hospitality, and food are the four most important things that Ukraine needs. Russia has everything that you could want but Ukraine has very few utilities that they need to survive.
“The Russo-Ukrainian War, which erupted in February 2014, was initially triggered by Russia’s convert invasion of Crimea, followed by the seizure of territory in the Donbas region by Russian forces and local proxies. This initial conflict saw the annexation of Crimea and ongoing fighting in eastern Ukraine, resulting in over 14 000 casualties before the full-scale invasion of February 2022. The 2022 invasion expanded the war significantly.” says Britannia.
Many people think that the Russia-Ukraine war will never end, but once a deal is made between the two country’s the war will be over and there shall be peace once and for all. In Ukraine there is around 500 000 troops left to fight against Russia.
“The Russian economy has suffered a modest 1.2 percent decline in 2022, with a 3.6 percent growth in 2023” says CSIS.
Now Ukraine is a country that is a pile of dirt. Very few buildings are left standing as most have been bombed and knocked down to the ground. People are terrified and scared of losing their family members. Family’s have been separated and some killed. I mean think about it do you want to lose your parents or siblings, or have them killed in war? Nobody would. So why are we letting it happen in Russia and Ukraine. Why? Why are we letting this happen? They are people just like us who deserve to live their own life without war. If we deserve peace, why don’t they deserve peace from this horrible war that seems to never end.
“Before 5 a.m. Kyiv time on 24 February, Putin, in another speech, announced a “special military operation”, which effectively declared war on Ukraine. Putin said the operation was to “protect the people” of the Russian-controlled breakaway” says Britannica.

  2. This earthquake gets worse every second you spend just lazing around, while the people in Gaza, gasping for air, not even getting a second to live life normally.
Now, Gaza is just a huge ball of dust with occasional debris lying around, people shooting, bombing and fighting to the death. Over 74,000 people has been killed,
over 154,000 people has been injured and over 31,000 people have been captured. Hospitality, thrown out the window to never be seen again. You can’t hide, you can only run for your life with your loved ones. Citizens who once ate at a fancy restaurants, now finding scraps in the risky roads of Gaza. People wander around aimlessly as they watch their loved ones slowly fall victim to the war one by one. This war has to stop, both sides of the war are rapidly losing numbers as this war goes on.

The Gaza War, which erupted in late 2023 as triggered when Hamas started “Operation Aqsa Flood”, firing a few thousand rockets onto Gaza within 20 minutes and fired another 150 rockets in the evening. Over 325 citizens were killed and over 250 of those were taken hostage. Hamas also tortured and mutilated Israeli citizens.

In the result of this war Israel has experienced a dramatic 42% decline in the transactions between foreign investors. Samsung also closed down operations in Israel and in June, Intel cancelled the construction of a $25 billion factory. Israel’s 7,500 high-tech companies and 500 multinational companies, found that 49% of Israel’s 7,500 high-tech companies and 500 multinational companies companies had cancelled investments, while 70% express concern about their ability to gain profits in the coming year, and 40% were planning to relocate operations outside of Israel. 24% have already relocated at least part of their operations abroad, and 44% have reported making workforce cuts.

  3. A Huge Storm has a Detrimental Affect on Jeju Island!
On 19th of June 2024 Jeju Island had suffered a severe storm that has ruined many peoples’ lives. Jeju Island has become a junkyard full of rubble with stones lying every where and roofs laid out like an obstacle course for children to complete while parents are tossing sandbags on the floors. Multiple weak trees were pulled out of the soiled and a few massive trees fell to their sides cowering from the powerful storm. Small homes have flooded and the majority of roads are flowing with water that gushes pushing and pulling everything in its way. The islanders of Jeju are all working together as a community to clean up the mess of the storm.

At 6:00 AM on the 19th of July, the islanders of Jeju first experienced the terror of the storm. They had to hide from the terrible storm and hope for the best. There was a total of 1 396 casualties with 113 people that died and 456 people injured and not able to recover and 827 severely injured. This shook the community of Jeju and left may people in despair.
“This has been one of the most detrimental impact we have ever experienced for a century” said Dong Jin Park an elder of Jeju Island.
“Our children were crying in their beds!” says Hyeonsuk Park a parent who resides in Jeju Island.

The islanders of Jeju Island are removing the junk, letting the water get out into the ocean and so much more work. They work so hard that they don’t have any perspiration to sweat. Construction is working on rebuilding the damaged homes and buildings. They work like a orchestra synchronising every move and flowing so smoothly. Everybody knows where to go and what to do. It is quite an outstanding feat.

There is no doubt that this storm has left a lasting impact that will take a while to recover from. All forms of transport to Jeju island has been cancelled which includes ferries, planes and other ways of getting there. Jeju Island will be relying on the help of other funding from other countries, especially South Korea. This has really affected the world and most of South Korea. Thousands of people everyday go there by plane because it isa one hour flight. They can take a day trip there or stay there a bit. It is a very crowded area and only the few early people will be able to experience the specialties of Jeju Island. The society of South Korea will be in a tough situation for a while and will have to fiure out another way of managing it’s budget.
“Right now Jeju Island is in a poor situation and we will need help” says Siyun Park another resident of Jeju Island. “But it will be really soon before it becomes crowded again.”

For a while, the locals of Jeju Island will be working hard toiling everyday to recover their homes that turned into a corrupted wasteland. The residents expect to be back and ready for more tourists in about three months. They will do their best to make Jeju Island the lively and happy town they were as fast as they can.
“This storm might have ruined our homes but it couldn’t even touch our passion” said Oh Young-Hun president of Jeju Island.Huge Storm has a Detrimental Affect on Jeju Island!

  4. Horror Earthquake in Mandalay, Myanmar

After days of searching, more than 3000 people have been reported killed, after a horrifying 7.7 magnitude earthquake in Myanmar three weeks ago, on March 28.

Myanmar lies on the boundary of two tectonic plates, and it is one of the most active countries on earth.

Although it’s common for earthquakes to occur in Myanmar, large and destructive earthquakes are relatively rare in the Sagaing region.

“The shock waves are not dissipated as they go from the focus of the earthquake up to the surface. The buildings received the full force of the shaking,” Mr Musson explained. “It’s important not to be focused on epicentres because the seismic waves don’t radiate out from the epicentre — they radiate out from the whole line of the fault,” he added.

At least 3900 people were injured, and 270 people were reported missing on Monday 31st March.

The earthquake damaged at least 3000 buildings in Mandalay, Myanmar, which is Myanmar’s second largest city.

It is believed that 70 construction workers are missing, after the collapse of a 30 storey government building still under construction.

The identity of 33 victims have been confirmed, 22 of them Thais, after the collapse of the 30 storey building, trapping a total of 103 people inside. Of those 103 victims inside the building, 44 have been confirmed dead, 9 are still injured, and 50 are still missing.

Many people have been left without homes or anywhere to live. The earthquake also affected people up to 1000 kilometres away.

The earthquake sent strong tremors as far as China, Thailand, Vietnam, and parts of India. This affected many people, though it is unlikely for a tsunami to happen.

Another earthquake hit Myanmar on the same day, and the earthquake measured a magnitude of 6.4.

According to the US Geological Survey, the 7.7 magnitude earthquake measured to have produced even more energy than the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima during World War ll on August 6, 1945.

After the earthquake, it was reported that there were more deaths than survivors. Immediately after the horrifying earthquake, several countries including Malaysia, China, and Russia have dispatched rescue and search teams to Myanmar.

Many countries are now helping the people in need, and South Korea sent a total of two million dollars worth of humanitarian aid.

A spokesperson from the China International Development Cooperation Agency said that Beijing will help provide emergency humanitarian aid, and for earthquake relief efforts. They will also provide $13.8 million to help rebuild the communities that were destroyed.

“We will act immediately from today. Our Traffy Fondue system allows us to pinpoint GPS coordinates for initial inspections,” Mr Chadchart said. “Volunteer engineers will conduct surveys without having to visit each site for basic screening.”
