Ten sessions, ten reasoning strands. Each lesson targets one, and deliberately revisits the ones before it, so nothing is taught once and forgotten.

The point of reasoning questions is that they are unfamiliar. The course teaches a method for approaching them, not a list of answers to memorise.

Every lesson combines clear strategy teaching, worked examples, timed application and teacher feedback. The loop is the same every day, the content moves.
Goes past the Selective Thinking Skills section
Evidence evaluation, algorithms, flowcharts and data interpretation sit above the Year 5 Selective syllabus. Students who finish this are ahead of the section, not level with it.

Each day targets a distinct strand while deliberately revisiting the ones before it.
Identifying mistakes
Multi-step errors, contradictions, overlooked conditions. Trace information step by step and find where a piece of reasoning, a calculation or a procedure first goes wrong.
Evaluating evidence I
Source credibility, relevance, sufficiency. Judge whether evidence is trustworthy, directly relevant and sufficient for a claim.
Evaluating reasoning I
Premises, conclusions, assumptions, hidden flaws. Separate claims from supporting reasons and identify unstated assumptions.
Finding procedures I
Patterns, codes, ciphers, multi-rule sequences. Identify and apply one or more rules in number, letter, symbol and shape procedures.
Identifying similarity I
Data comparison, interpretation, charts and tables. Compare values, trends, proportions and categories accurately in unfamiliar data displays.
Logical analysis
Logic grids, ordering, scheduling, constraints. Translate written conditions into a grid, table or diagram and eliminate systematically.
Evaluating evidence II
Conflicting evidence, corroboration, reliability, missing information. Compare competing evidence and identify what further information would resolve uncertainty.
Finding procedures II
Algorithms, flowcharts, nested rules, input-output systems. Track multi-step and conditional rules accurately to predict outputs and locate errors.
Evaluating reasoning II
Strengthening and weakening arguments, cause and effect, alternative explanations. Choose information that directly changes how convincing an argument is.
Spatial reasoning and review
Rotations, reflections, cube nets, spatial transformation. Manipulate shapes systematically and consolidate all ten reasoning strands.

Once a student is enrolled and payment is received, the place is reserved and no longer available to other families. To ensure fair access and stable class planning, please confirm your child's availability before enrolling.
No refunds will be issued for change of mind, scheduling conflicts, or failure to attend. Enrolments cannot be transferred or deferred.
Refunds will be provided where required under the Australian Consumer Law, for example, if the course is cancelled by the centre.
Questions parents ask
Does Writing clash with the subject boosters?+
No. Writing runs 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM and the earliest booster starts at 9:00 AM, so it fits alongside any subject in either week.
Are sessions recorded?+
No. Zoom Holiday programmes are live only and there are no recordings. Please confirm your child can attend every session before enrolling.
How does the multi-programme discount work?+

What does my child need?+
A device with Zoom and a working camera and microphone, a quiet space, and pen and paper. All materials are provided in class.
