Volunteering should most certainly be mandatory for students because it can be helpful to the community and individuals. High schoolers especially because it can make a positive difference to people’s lives, improve self-esteem, confidence and wellbeing also it can gain individual work experience and receive high-quality training and develop new skills.
First, it can make a positive difference to people’s lives by providing services, to promote the growth, development, and strengthening of a sense of belonging and offering a sense of purpose and fulfilment. It is creating a huge positive and supportive environment not just for yourself but for everyone. It is and will certainly help people’s lives.
Second volunteering is vital that it can significantly improve and uplift self-esteem, confidence, and overall well-being relations and bonds. By fostering a sense of purpose, accomplishment, and social connection, while also providing opportunities to learn new skills and make a positive impact which is something that must happen. This will help with your community.
And finally, you ask how does gain individual work experience and receive high-quality training and develop new skills? Well, it is positive that volunteering offers a valuable avenue to gain work experience, receive training, and develop new skills, often providing opportunities for hands-on experience and skill enhancement in a variety of fields. Being individual is great so then you won’t need to rely on others and figure problems out yourself which is thinking as an individual. It is a must do and a help you thing in the future.

Imagine being slumped in a rickety chair, hours past your bedtime, with a pen and blank paper staring straight through your soul. Trembling, your clammy hand hovers over the paper, which is as blank as a starless sky. You have gotten no work done, and the assignment is due tomorrow. Would you want this to be every student’s reality, just because of mandatory volunteering? Clearly, if volunteering becomes mandatory for students, they will see the horrors of the world, become too reliant on community service to help them, and have inadequate amount of time to complete their work. Let’s examine the facts.
To start off with, how would you feel if a 10 year old’s brain was filled with the harrowing images of people suffering from starvation or diseases? It is most certainly obvious that their young, growing minds are absolutely not ready to see the dark outside world. How would you feel if you were in year 5, and every weekend, you had to see people slowly but painfully passing away? Undoubtedly, we must spare young children from the real world, even if that means less people helping out those in need.
In addition, if students become aware that community service was always able to help them, it is so clear that they would take that as an advantage. Students will have the temptation to stop working and studying hard, because either way, there would be many people to help them. When the students grow up, they will have to thought of getting a job, because those students helping out would aid them for free. It is unquestionable that students will become to reliant on service when they grow up. Even if volunteering is helping them to becoming better people, they will know that others would have to volunteer later, making it clear that service is available if needed.
Moreover, imagine your time to complete homework was taken away for volunteering. How would you manage to hand in all your assignments on time? Just because community service is taking away time from students to help them be kind people, you are also taking away time to study and become smarter. Especially as students get older, there will be more work in less time, and students will still be required to volunteer in events and services. Would you want the next generation to lose education time so that they could help out the world?
In summation, we must not introduce mandatory volunteering, even if it means students are not learning to help others. No one wants a child’s brain to be filled with horrifying images or the thought that they have free care even if they don’t work hard. You would also would strongly dislike a child to lose education so that they could help others, would you? Make sure volunteering stays optional and I guarantee every student will thrive their whole entire life.

I believe that volunteering should be mandatory for students, and here’s why. Volunteering not only benefits the community but also gives students valuable life experiences and skills.

Should volunteering be mandatory for students?
Yes, I highly state that volunteering should be mandatory, as this helps students of all grades learn crucial skills, needed in preparing them for life. These skills vary from kindness, empathy, good habits, and more. Especially pointing out to those that are young, those young pupils are what the future depends on, if a student develops a good habit or skill early in life, they will remember it, and it will change the course of their life.
Firstly, if volunteering was mandatory this will boost the child’s acceptance for diversity, and differences. This will shape their future personality. Volunteering also will help children to acquire a positive habit such as helping the elderly or poor. By helping the poor, it will raise economy and spendings, therefore leading to a rich economy.
Secondly, if volunteering was mandatory, then more people would be able to learn certain skills. An important skill could be something like planting. By planting plants, this will help global warming. According to former GISS director James Hansen we, are approaching an alarming temperature increase rate. Every day we get near to one Celius increase in temperature. Now you might be thinking why should we care, because according to NASA. From reference before, a 1-2 degree drop as all it took to begin “The Little Ice Age”. Also to mention that a five-degree drop was all that was needed to bury a large part of North America into a colossal amount of ice 20,000 years ago.
And lastly, if volunteering was mandatory, the young youths will gain a working experience in both, individually, and together. In this way you can become overcome future problems both independently, and with teamwork. Adding up with these children will be ready for life, and with better cooperating skills, you can overcome challenges you face alone and with your colleagues.
An opposer might say that forcing people to do activities will tire them or maybe affect the way they see life. In counter, volunteering must be mandatory, if it wasn’t lazy people would just miss out on the easy opportunity to obtain all these helpful skills. Also adding that since they can choose, they would adapt to thinking that everything, they could choose, this being entirely false would not prepare them for life. If it was if voluntary, then lazy people would also develop a laziness affect, not in reference to the packed fully scheduled reality.
In summary, volunteering must be mandatory, as young youths with potential would gain many valuable skills and be prepared for life. In this way their future would be very fortunate, perhaps even rich or physic changing. Very much they would have already adapted to the somewhat harsh environment that life has prepared for them. This provides parents with insurance that they won’t get frightened or panicked. I strongly state that volunteering certainly must be mandatory, with it like this, it would provide a great future for everyone.

Did you know that across Australia, around 5 million people volunteered for one organization group in 2020? Volunteering can be a peaceful place where you can interact with a range of people and learn together. I believe volunteering is a great way of experiencing different types of topics and subjects but it does not need to be mandatory. Let me tell you some benefits of volunteering.
Firstly, you can create friends with other people including a diverse range of age, thought and culture. School encourages you to interact with the same year group as you. Bonding friendship can have many benefits. They will support and help you when you need it. Also, you can have a sense of belonging to the group or the community. For example, you bond with an old lady. You can explain your experiences at school and support her when she crosses the road. She can tell you about history and help you with your history tests!
Secondly, it can create a calm and quiet place. Volunteering can reduce stress while you do a fun activity. It can take worries off your minds making you feel more relaxed. Additionally, it improves metal health by increasing your happiness and making a sense of accomplishment which releases good cells into your body. For instance, you volunteer to help research the app that they are working on. In the end, you get to test out the games which makes you excited.
Finally, you can learn skills from volunteering. These can lead to jobs or hobbies for your career. Another option is using these skills in everyday life. For example, if help with planting vegetables in the local garden, you will know how to plant different foods. At home you can plant food to eat and use your knowledge to help it grow. This can save money and the food can be fresher and healthier.
Participating in these activities everyday can take up a lot of time. Many people use their time on earning money, everyday tasks and family factors leaving limited time to take part in community activities.
In conclusion, while volunteering can allow learning to be fun, you can experience amazing techniques. It’s worth trying out different ideas and making new friendship bonds. Although volunteering is helpful, I don’t think it should be it mandatory at school. I encourage you to try it out and learn some skills!
