Subject: Application for a class pet
Dear Mr Barnett,
As we have spoken on Friday, the whole class unanimously voted to have a class pet. I have also asked everyone personally, and also made them write a note, that was anonymous, to help them not be under peer pressure. Due to all these methods, and the result, which were all the same, it is clear that now we should buy a class pet.
I have researched some benefits of a class pet, and a few of the many include: building self esteem, increased social skills, decreased anxiety, and brings increased sensitivity and responsibility. As some students in our class do not have a pet, and that includes me, I feel, being the representative of the class, there is an urge to get a class pet. Us students have extra pressure in class, doing four more maths sessions than other classes, all on top of tutoring, and extra-curricular activities. Having a pet would reduce stress significantly, increase everybody’s social skills, and teach everyone responsibility.
Would you be able to get the pet organized, before week three starts? I spoke to the parents, and all of them are happy to be paying the money, or we can adopt one for free, if it suits you. If you can, organize it, that would be great.
I am happy to discuss with you again when the term starts. I will follow up this subject of matter next week.
Kind Regards,
Audrey

To,
Mr Max
Mr Max, our class would love a class pet. Imagine if we have a class pet, we could have a system where whoever was the best of the week gets to take the pet home for a week. This way the children will act more respectfully towards others and you. If this happens imagine how peacful it would be, no screaming, no running indoors, and everyone focuses on their work. The pet also helps reduce stress. Like when someone comes from recess or lunch and they feel sad they can hold the pet and relive the stress. If they have stress on their back it means that they can not concentrate, but if we have the pet it will relive stress. Also it gives the students a responsiblity to take care of the animal. Providing an way to get them ready for high school. This is all the benefits of a class pet.
First if we have a class pet we can have a motivator, if you are best student of the week you get to take the pet home for a week. This means it will get the students motivated to act respectfuly in class, making it a calmer enviroment for evryone. The pet will help make a better learning enviroment because of the system. This is why having a class pet is essential.
Secondly we should have a pet because it helps us reduce or stress and anxiety. Reaserchers have shown that if you have a class pet you have a more likley chance of being less stressed Imagine if a student comes from their break crying because they got bullied. If we have a pet you can give the pet into the persons arms and let them feel relived. This well help them feel better and more focused. Then all the students can focus since we hae a class pet.
Finally if we have these tiny easy to take care of animals it can prove to be a way to get ready for high school. Since in high school you have to be responsible for yourself, and the pets are the perfect way to practice. If we have a high school attitude before high school we will succeed in taking care of ourselves later. So if we have a pet we can get ready for high school by feeding it and taking care of it
The price of this tiny adorable animal is less than fifty, so no need to worry about the costs. So if we have a class pet we can have a system where students are able to take the pet home. It reduces stress and anxiety during class time. And it provides us with a way to get ready for high school. This is why we must have a class pet for the enjoyment of the students, and improve their behavior.
Kind regards,
Isaac Varun Pilla

Dear Principal,
My name is Ayman Rafi, a proud Year 5 and SVC student, and I’m writing to share an exciting idea that I believe will greatly benefit our school community. I would love your support in transforming our dry, patchy grass area into a stunning Agrostis turf soccer field!
This idea would bring many benefits to our school:
• Students will enjoy a cleaner, safer, and more enjoyable place to play and exercise.
• Teachers won’t have to worry about dirty shoes while on duty or when responding quickly to emergencies.
• Staff will find it easier to supervise students, thanks to the clean and clear visibility the new turf provides.
As you always remind us, our school goals include:
• Creating a better space for learning and play
• Making staff monitoring easier
• Helping teachers respond quickly by avoiding muddy shoes
This project aligns perfectly with those goals!
Project Details:
• The turf installation would take around two weeks, during which access to the grass area will be restricted.
• Students can watch the transformation as part of an engaging experience, especially during breaks.
• Work would continue during the school holidays, including installing goalposts and final touches.
Budget:
• The total cost is approximately $26,794, but this will be significantly reduced thanks to the help of passionate volunteers ready to assist.
• Other schools on the West Coast have done similar projects, with great success. In fact, when I visited one of them, I saw how happy the students were—one even scored a volley so smooth it inspired me to imagine the same joy here!
Next Steps:
Would you be available on Thursday at 1:50 PM to meet and discuss this idea further?
I’ve prepared a short presentation with pictures, a budget breakdown, and a timeline to help visualize this plan.
Thank you so much for your time and for considering my proposal. I’m excited about the opportunity to work together to make our school even better.

Subject: An application for a community recycling project.
Dear Mr Corr,
I hope this email finds you well as we enter the spring term. I am writing to propose an exciting opportunity that would transform our unclean school into a better learning space: a community recycling project that would benefit students, staff, and our wider community.
As all classes did in the last term, the recycling project perfectly aligns with several key objectives:
. Providing more creativity and imagination to the students work.
. Helps save the planet by preventing items going into landfill.
. Makes at least 90% of the students more intelligent.
. Brings up students’ motivation to learn.
The project will be in 3 stages. Stage one will begin in the winter holidays where there are lots of recycling bins and the community puts stuff recyclable in there. Stage two will be planning what students want to make with the recyclable things. Stage three will be making and presenting.
We will have a $500 budget to get extra things that students need like gluing, taping, decorating or other materials that there are no more of something that students need. If we still don’t have everything we need, go to your houses or neighbourhood to find and donate some old things you don’t use or need to charity, and bring the money to the school and the teachers will buy the material for your project. We don’t know what it was like, so other schools near us messaged us and said it was a success, and it also gave impressive results: increased student engagement, improved test scores, and enhanced community relations.
Would you be available next Tuesday at 4:30 pm to discuss this proposal in more detail? I have prepared a brief presentation with visual plans and implementation timeline for your consideration. I look forward to doing this opportunity together.
Your sincerely,
Adrita

Dear: principle
I hope this email find you well.I am writing to share an idea that has been supported by all in the class. We, as a class would love your approval of having a class pet in the learning environment.
After conducting many surveys from everyone in the class, we have found that all the students in the class have agreed to have a class pet.A class pet would bring joy, excitement, and companionship to our classroom. It could also teach us valuable life skills like responsibility, empathy, patience, and teamwork.Taking care of another living creature is a way to develop these important life skills.
Class pets also have many educational benefits. They can reduce stress, improve morale, and support learning in subjects like science, reading, and writing. For example writing a observational journal, there is no better way to observe an animal than up close. It would be a fun and meaningful way to link our learning to real life and promote curiosity.
We’re considering small, low-maintenance animals and like a guinea pig, fish, or hermit crabs. These pets are small and quiet, easy to care for and are suitable for classroom settings. All the students will have detailed schedules to who is feeding the animal and who is cleaning the animals cage, with your guidance and supervision. Some students have offered to take the pet home over the weekend to make sure it is looked after at all times.
We understand this is great responsibility, and we are confident to manage it as a team. With your support, a class pet could make our classroom an even more positive, engaging, and caring place to learn.
Thank you very much for considering our request. We would be happy to meet and discuss this idea further at a time that suits you best.

Day 5 Homework Writing:
Dear Mr Alex,
Mr Alex, on Monday, Mr Frank and I had discussed about having a class pet, so he let our class have a vote. It all came to the conclusion that almost everyone wanted a class pet. I have been collecting data from all of the students personally to see why they would want a class pet or not. This data would be very vital for us, because we can see if they can concentrate in class with a pet. While were in class I got some information that whenever most students get mad they could go to the class pet and relax.
Class pets can make a big impact on students learning. Class pets are a great head start on advancing our education, because we can learn about the pet. We can also learn about how do take responsibility for the pet, by feeding it, cleaning up its droppings and checking on it. While pets can help us learn, pets can also relax and chill our minds, when we feel stressed or overwhelmed.
Pets are great for having fun! Every week there could be a roster on who can take the pet home to protect for the weekends. All the students would get at least one turn bringing the pet to their home and taking care of it. This would be great, because since there is not school on weekends instead of the school taking care of the pet one of the children can. While the students take the pet home they can learn how to be more responsible about having a pet.
Finally, I have a good idea on what the pet should be. It should be a tiny hamster, they are small, fluffy, cute and their cheap too. This will make a great pet for our class, it is at least small enough to fit into a tiny cage. Unlike dogs, dogs are great, but they are not small enough to fit inside of a cage or a petite house.
Kind Regards,
Xander

Title – Idea for a Cozy Reading Area in Our Classroom!
Dear Mrs. Harrington,
I hope you’re having a great day! I’m writing to share an idea that I believe could benefit our class and make our learning environment even more exciting and inspiring. I’d like to suggest that we create a cozy reading area in our classroom, a small, comfortable space where students can enjoy books in a calm and peaceful setting.
Reading is one of the most important skills we develop in school, and having a special area dedicated just to reading could encourage more students to read for fun. Sometimes, it’s hard to focus on a book when a lot is going on around us. A quiet corner with soft cushions, warm lighting, and shelves of books could make reading feel more like an adventure and less like a chore.
A reading area will also help students relax during breaks or indoor recess. It would be a great place for those who want a quiet moment or need a mental break before jumping into the next subject. Plus, students who finish their work early must use the space to read and build even stronger reading habits.
Would it be possible to set up a small area with beanbags or floor pillows, maybe near the window or in a corner of the classroom? I’d be happy to help gather supplies. I could even bring in a few books from home that I’ve already read and think others might enjoy. I’m sure other students would be excited to contribute, too.
Thank you so much for considering this idea. I believe it could make a positive difference for our class. Do you think we could try creating a reading area sometime soon? I’d love to help get it started!
Sincerely,
Shriya Poddaturu
