  1. 1. I can offer the school a whole lot of music. Right now, I play the piano at a CMUS level, and the drums at grade 4. I normally find a lot of joy, teaching my family and playing solo or in a group. I play in 5 different ensembles at school, and 2 of them at the highest level. I think that I can bring my experience and inspiration to the school, and hopefully inspire and play for the school and for others as well. Another thing I can offer is sports. Being in the best Fencing team, and one of the best basketball teams, I usually inspire different friends to use specific moves. In fencing, my reaction timing, and defence is the best, and is almost flawless. In basketball, my passing and vision is my best, and these perks always help me or my teammates. I hope that I can also offer sports to the school.

    2. Back in year 3, I had a consistent issue of time management. So what I did was set up a timetable on when and in what time frame I should do things. This helped me a lot because I wouldn’t get as distracted as before, and slowly, the problem had been solved. Another thing that was fixed as a kind of side effect was my organisation. Due to my mum saying you only finish if you have neatly organised it in your folder, I have learnt to put things into the correct part and not just dump them into the first spare gap I see. These things have helped me in school, and different other activities.

    3. Some of my favourite activities at school are science and PE. Science is always filled with surprises and jokes, while PE never has anything that could stop it. In science, there is always something new that I learn. From coding to experiments, Our teacher always fills the lesson with fun. PE is always a joy, with a new sport everytime. PE is also sometimes a grouch between other people of whether it is in or out. But nevertheless, These two subjects are my favourite.

    4. I see myself being a piano teacher. Right now, I teach my sister in piano and I am at a way above average level for my age. I have taught basics to friends to and I really enjoy showing and expressing my ways to others. I would really love to be a piano teacher, because I can be a whole lot more social and interactive with others older and younger than me. I also want to be a piano teacher because I can continue my joy of piano and not just forget 3 years of hard work. So, I would really love to be a piano tutor in 6 years.

  2. Interview questions
    1. What can you offer our school?
I can bring my skills in sport to your school. As part of the PSSA team, I’ve learned how crucial collaboration is in sports, where everyone needs to trust and support one another to succeed. In addition, my basketball skills, particularly my quick decision-making and defensive plays, allow me to contribute to our team’s success. I’m committed to improving as an athlete and always give my best effort to help my team.
I can also bring my singing skills to this school. I enjoy using my voice to create melodies and I’ve practised since I was five years old. I’ve improved a lot and it has also become one of my favourite hobbies. I believe that when I come to your school, I’ll be able to join choir and perform with others.

    2. What are your strengths and weaknesses?
A strength of mine is in my debating skills. I am part of my school debating team and am a confident speaker that likes to engage with others constantly. I love to rebut and present arguments and I’m naturally a persuasive person, leading to my team winning most of our debates
However, a weakness I’m working on is sometimes getting distracted during long tasks. To improve, I gradually increase the amount of time I need to stay focused, pushing myself to go a bit longer each time. This approach has helped me stay more engaged and gradually build better concentration skills.

    3. What do you like most at school?
My favourite subject is English, especially writing. I love the creativity it allows me to express and the way it lets me explore new ideas. Writing is a passion of mine because it’s a chance to create characters, invent stories, and communicate ideas that are meaningful to me. I feel that in English, I can truly be myself, exploring different styles and developing my voice as a writer. I enjoy the challenge of finding the right words to make a story come alive and captivate readers.

    4. Where do you see yourself in six years?
In six years, I see myself working towards my dream of becoming an author. Writing has always been my passion, and it’s my goal to turn that passion into a career. I hope to study literature and writing in college, learning as much as I can to develop my skills. I want to create stories that resonate with people and make a difference. I see myself working on novels or short stories, and I’d love to explore different genres and styles. I’m determined to keep practising, taking every opportunity to improve, and sharing my writing with others.

  3. – What can you offer our school?
At [school] I believe that I can offer many things to you. Firstly, I can join the debating society there. Currently I am in my school debating team and we have been participating in this competition called the Premiers Debating Challenge. In fact, we were very fortunate to be able to reach the semi-finals before we were knocked out. But I actually did not really enjoy public speaking until I was actually put into the debating team. I was always the more shy person, afraid to speak out. But after being put in the debating team, it allowed me to learn more about public speaking, and through my journey, I have learnt to love debating and the very thrill of going to other schools to debate. I believe that [school]’s debating society will allow me to not only resume debating but be able to expand my skills even further through competitions like the ISDA competition. Also, I play the clarinet at my school. A scholarship [School] will allow me to contribute to the band program. Currently I go to Artarmon Public School, which is well known for its amazing strength in music programs, winning competitions in the Eistodford and State Championships. I am extremely lucky to be part of that music program. I started the clarinet this year, so it was very hard to go up to the highest band in the school. But there was ONE way to go up to Senior Band. It was playing the 1812 Overture perfectly by memory, without any guidance. I really wanted to get into the Senior Band, so everyday I would play this piece, over and over again. In the end, I went up to my conductor and said: “Can I play the 1812 Overture for you?”. And then, I did it! I played it perfectly! Now I was able to go up to Senior Band, but that wasn’t all. I had learnt many things along the way, including perseverance and the fact that hard work pays off, so never give up! As you can see from my band experience, I believe that I will be able to contribute to the school music program through the Wind Ensemble and also the Band. This scholarship will enable me to reach out and enhance my talents, allowing me to contribute to the school as well as benefiting myself.

    – Weakness/strength?
One of my strengths is my persistence when achieving a goal. I have shown this through many ways such as the 1812 Overture challenge and also in past homework assignments. In Term 1, we had a homework assignment called the 20 Hour Challenge. This was based on the theory that someone could learn a skill in 20 Hours of practice. So my skill was drawing a realistic portrait. Not an easy task. Every week I would do 2 hours that seemed to go on forever, drawing different parts of the face and portraits in general. But everything I drew seemed to be cartoonish and unrealistic. I just wasn’t creating the effect I wanted. This led to me having mood swings and frustration, but it wasn’t helping me. So I decided to try a different way of drawing. Instead of drawing off the top of my head, I used a reference photo I found online so I could actually capture their face properly to make it more realistic. This worked extremely well, so now I know that I always need to keep on trying, as you will reach your goal eventually.

    – What things do you like most at school ?
I believe that a healthy relationship between a student and their educators are one of the most important things to enhance your learning experience even further. My teacher, Ms Bonnett understands me really well, so she knows when to push me even further into my learning. Last term, when I finished my literacy tasks and the extra task one week early, she told me to write an essay. Writing an essay in about 8 or 9 hours for a year 5 was a big ask. But nevertheless, I went on and wrote an essay. The words were forming in my head rapidly as I scrambled to write words in my book. I was so surprised that my teacher asked me this. But I kept on going. In the end, I was able to not only write a complete essay by hand, I had enough time to type my essay up and print it out. I was even more shocked than ever! I never knew that I could write an essay so fast and it was all because of my teacher knowing me well and pushing me beyond the limits in my learning.

    – What do you see yourself doing in 6 years?
I love drawing and mathematics, and what combines both aspects is architecture. My father is a builder and sometimes I go to the building site to admire his project. I simply love designing things and sometimes I take a look at my father’s spreadsheet for the floor plan. I find it extremely interesting and it gave me a tiny bit of inspiration for my dream job of architecture. In 6 years time, I see myself doing my design course at [school], working with wood and saws to create models of houses as an inspiration for my future job. I believe that [school] will not only let me create a dream, but make this dream come true.

    INERVIEW QUESTIONS:
What can you offer our school?
The school I want to get into is the school that I’m already in. Which is Ascham. I play a few instruments, guitar, bass guitar and bass ukelele. Those instruments are rare, well the bass instruments. I am one of a few bass players in my school. I would help the school by being in the bands and clubs that they have and contributing to music. I have played those instruments for a while, so I am experienced. For example, since I already go to Ascham, the teachers know me. This year I have been asked to join Fiona Wind Symphony, Guitar Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble and a few other clubs to play bass. This just shows that I could contribute by helping out in clubs by playing either bass guitar, guitar and bass ukelele.
I would also contribute to the school by participating in many sports. I play netball, soccer, tennis, touch football and swimming. Every term I participate in Saturday sports for school. This year I was in the A’s for soccer and touch football, and the B’s for netball and tennis. I do many co – curriculars for school and most of them are sport. That is another thing that I can offer the school.
    1. Weakness (ACTIONS)/strength?
One of my weaknesses is that I can be quite disorganized. Although I feel like I’ve really improved because every day, my teacher askes my class to write down all our co – curricular’s in our diaries. It has helped me become more organized and I think I have improved in organization. Another weakness is that I have a small fear of public speaking. When we have to do speeches at school for class, I can get nervous sometimes. That’s why, for the past 3 terms I have done public speaking as a co – curricular and it has helped improve writing speeches and presenting them as well.
Some of my strengths is that I am a leader. If anyone needs someone to help lead them then I would always be happy to help. I am creative and I love learning new things. I will always be happy to volunteer if someone needs help. For example, I do soccer about 4 of 5 times a week and if the coach needs someone to go in defence, then I would be happy to help. If they need someone to have to play with the other team then I would be happy to help even if I would rather play with my own team.
    2. What things do you like most at school?
I love most things at school but the things that I love doing the most is art, maths and PE. I love doing art because I get to be as creative as I want and there’s no right or wrong when it comes to art. I love maths as well because I love the satisfactory of when you solve a problem, and your answer is correct. It makes it even better when you know that it’s a really hard problem to solve. I do many sports each week and I love the feeling of being active and when in a sport like for example, netball or soccer. I love the feeling of when the ball goes in the net ( or goal ), and you score a goal or if one of your teammates score. It feels great, especially if you win. Except the thing I love the most is probably lunch. You may be thinking, “Lunch isn’t a subject.”. Well, that is correct, except my lunchtimes feel like a subject, but a really fun one. I do soccer on our school oval every lunch at it’s even more fun because I love soccer. It is my favourite sport, and I do it a play soccer a lot. I get to spend time at lunch with my friends while doing sports which makes it really fun as well.
    3. What do you see yourself doing in 6 years?
What I really want to be when I grow up is a Matilda on the girl’s Aussie soccer team. I know that it is really hard which is why I have other passions. I love art and designing which is why I also would love to be a fashion designer or an interior architect. Although that would be for when I’m older. In 6 years, I see myself selling things with my own brand. I am already an entrepreneur because I have my own brand: “Designs by Belle” and I sell handmade bracelets, keychains and picture frames. Every few weeks I aim to set up a stall. I make everything by myself and with a little help from my mum. I design everything by myself, and everything is an original.

  5. I can offer the school a diverse set of talents that will enhance the school community. Firstly, I have a passion for playing the piano, and as a past member of the performance band, I improved my skills and participated in various school events. The second most important musical influence in my life has been my love for the guitar. This was a very enriching experience, in which I had to the oppurtunity to join the senior guitar ensemble. I enjoyed moments of collaboration with fellow musicians at rehearsal, improving our art to always enrapture the audience. I still remember moments from being on stage, feeling the thrill of performing along my bandmates. During these activities, I actively participated and improved my technical skills and understood the importance of coordination. These qualities shaped me as a musician, in addition to being an all-rounded individual who is ready to contribute to the vibrant school community. Sharing these talents and passion with my friends, teachers, and the school is something that I look forward to. Moreover, I am commited to extracurricular activities such as Chess Club, where my friends and I contributed to our school achieving third place in the NSW Interschool Chess Challenge. This experience not only sharpened my strategic thinking, but also taught me the importance of teamwork and perseverance. Furthermore, my dedication to staying active and socialising has led me to attend basketball classes twice a week, where I improved my physical abilities while also making new friends.

One of my key strengths is my commitment to continuous growth and learning. I have a strong work ethic and thrive even in challenging environments. I also enjoy collaborating with peers to achieve common goals. My communication skills, both written and verbal, enable me to express ideas clearly and engage in meaningful discussions. Additionally, I am a quick learner and can grasp new concepts rapidly with the right guidance. I believe (Insert School) will provide me with the opportunity to suceed.

Despite my strengths, I am aware of my weaknesses. One weakness is my tendancy to trust others too easily, which has sometimes led me to rely on individuals who may not have been as competent as I’d assumed. For example, in a previous team project, I trusted a person to complete their tasks without reminding them, only to discover later that they had not, causing the whole group’s marks to be deducted by a large margin. I now recognise that because it was a team effort, we had to help each other out, whether it be by reminding them, or by assisting with what they could not do alone.

One of the things that impress me in school life is the various thoughts and experiences gathered in a learning environment. Peers from different backgrounds have expanded my view about the world and developed my empathy and respect. During group projects, I have been able to work with classmates of different cultural backgrounds. Learning about each other’s values and beliefs have added variety in our discussions and problem solving approaches. This diversity has taught me how important listening to different opinions is, and to always look for different solutions to new challenges. Actively participating in school events has provided many opportunities for long-lasting friendships with a network of people who can support me in my classroom needs. I want to become more open and friendly, so I will widen my social circle and learn new things from other people.

I see myself as a dedicated and responsible student at whatever school I attend. From handing in assignments to participating in class discussions, my approach toward learning is always one of eagerness. I imagine myself studying for whatever challenges will come my way, such as studying science and the nuances of literature with resolve in order to acheive excellent results in the HSC. Though it is important to do well in the HSC, I also recognise that this is but a stepping stone toward my goals. My dream is to pursue a career as a doctor or scientist, using knowledge and experience to contribute positively to society. Contributing to the welfare of society is not an unrealistic dream, but a motivating factor in my academic career. I would like to make a difference by taking part in society and having more of an input with my skills, so in the next six years, I will be doing my best to prepare for it..

  6. yuezhu-xuehotmail-com

1.As an environmentally-conscious individual, I can offer my school a range of initiatives and contributions aimed at promoting sustainability and eco-friendly practices. One of the key ways I can contribute is by helping to organise and lead environmental awareness campaigns. This could include hosting workshops, creating informational materials, or leading discussions on topics such as climate change, recycling, and energy conservation.I can also assist in establishing or improving recycling programs on campus, encouraging students and staff to reduce waste and recycle more effectively. By advocating for the use of reusable items like water bottles and coffee cups, I can help reduce single-use plastic on school grounds. Additionally, I can collaborate with the school to start a garden or green space, creating an area where students can learn about sustainable gardening, composting, and local food systems.

    2.
One of my greatest strengths is my unwavering positivity. I always try to see the good in every situation, which helps me stay motivated and resilient, even when things get tough. This optimistic mindset not only boosts my own morale but also inspires those around me. It allows me to approach challenges with confidence and persistence, knowing that a solution is always within reach. However, one area I am working on is staying focused. At times, I find myself getting distracted, especially when tasks feel overwhelming or mundane. I recognise this as an area for growth and am actively working on improving my concentration to enhance both my productivity and effectiveness.

  7. Interview
What I can offer your school-
I can offer your school my determination to exceed higher in everything. An example of this is the 100m and 200m. I can run the 100m in 14.49 seconds and the 200m in 30.21 seconds. But my journey to get to this level is what matters most. In my first few years of primary school, everyday, my parents and I would go to our local park and I would run a different distance each day, while they timed me. After on, in my later years of primary school, I joined a sprint training class and used all of their techniques in my running races. But, unfortunately, one day, in my 100m and 200m finals to pass zone, my leg cramped, and I lost. Furthermore, in my 100m relay, the second runner and I did exemplary, but the last two runners ate a heavy meal and lost it for me. I was disheartened by these two events, but determination and resilience kept me going. After a while, I joined Little Athletics. They were in awe at my running, as I would usually come in the top five in my 100m and 200m races. I even got selected for the state relay for 100×4. I showed sublime collaboration with all of my teammates. All of my adventures, outstanding work and determination had led me to this astonishing moment.

    Strength/weakness-
One of my strengths is writing poetry. I have always been fond of writing poetry because it lets us convey our feelings in a more deeper understanding. Also, I adore and succeed at rhyming and how to make both the words fit in the context of the poem. It increases the flow of the poem in my opinion. For example, this is a quatrain about sadness that I have wrote.
    Melancholy
As the gloomy rain pours down,
across my face grows a frown,
    I feel like a pawn
    to devious scorn.
A weakness I have is thinking skills, because of the amount of time it takes to figure out a question’s answer and also completing the test in a short amount of time is tricky for me. To try and end this weakness, my parents try to teach me easy techniques to get through the questions faster and after that I complete questions using these techniques.

What things do I most like at school-
At school, I adore writing narratives, bit by bit at school because it tests patience. Furthermore, I love reading over other people’s narratives because it teaches me about what their imagination is and gives me more ideas for future essays. Another thing I am glued to is PSSA, as it teaches you to collaborate with others and informs us about sportsmanship. Another thing, I show affection to is art, as it is peaceful and I am a huge fan of painting my imagination and feelings on paper.

What do I see myself doing in 6 years time-
I see myself as an investment banker, as my dad has experience in it and it is a reputable job in my opinion . I would like to pursue it because I am good at researching, which can help me in buying the correct stocks. Another job I would like to do is becoming a videogame developer with a company. I have been really inspired by Epic Games to create a multi-million videogame company and have always dreamed of becoming one at the age of seven. I have thought of a terrific name for the company, which would be ‘Gamma Studios’.

  8. Scholarly Interview
What can you offer our school ?
    Weakness/strength?
What things do you like most at school ?
What do you see yourself doing in 6 years?

1.What can you offer our school ?
I am passionate about sports and firmly believe that my commitment can make a significant contribution to {school}. I love to play Football (Soccer) and I am currently able to do around 700 juggles with a ball and it is better than any of my teammates even if they are 1 year older than me. Currently, I am playing a year above my age in the SAP (Skills Acquisition Program), which demonstrates how dedicated I am to my sport and how I work hard to play a year up. Before I was playing at SAP I was playing park football and I was playing 2 – 3 years up.

In addition to this, I have consistently achieved regional-level success in swimming, cross country, and athletics every year. These accomplishments are a testament to my hard work, perseverance, and determination to continuously improve. At {school}, I am eager to not only maintain but also elevate my performance, aiming for even higher achievements. Moreover, I am excited about the opportunity to inspire and motivate my peers, contributing to a vibrant and supportive sports community at {school}. My goal is to represent {school} with pride and bring further accolades to the institution.

    2. Weakness/strength?
    Weakness
I believe that a weakness of mine is perfectionism. As I play football I used to just try and do everything perfectly and everytime I made a mistake I was hard on myself. I knew that our team had to win so I would just go and dribble however I learnt that it wasn’t about winning all the time. I have been working with my teammates playing the ball around instead of just keeping the ball to myself. I have improved and eased out of my perfectionist mindset and realised that “to err is human” so I have started accepting mistakes as well as sharing the ball more oftenly.
    Strengths
I think that one of my major strengths is sport. I can excel in any sport I am given, I have played in an oz tag team, a cricket team and a football team. I am a strong swimmer and I always try to make my school proud by swimming my hardest at regional events. I have made cross country and athletic teams for my school and I have even trained just to represent my school.

However I think my biggest strength is Football. Football has taught me a lot of things and that is why I think it is my strength, I have learnt resilience on and off the pitch because of 1 singular game we started losing the game. We lost the first leg then we came back at the 2nd leg and then we were winning 5 – 3 if we won this game we would have gone to finals however suddenly the opposing side came back and finished the game 8 – 5. Our whole team collapsed on the floor crying as we had fought so hard to come back all to just lose. I was devastated but I knew that we had kept on going. After that game we played the 3rd and 4th place playoff and we won.

    3. What things do you like most at school ?
One of the things I like the most about my school is the nurturing environment and the dedicated teachers. The school atmosphere is welcoming and inclusive, making it a place where I feel comfortable and motivated to learn. The teachers are not only knowledgeable but also passionate about their subjects and genuinely care about my success. Their encouragement and support have been instrumental in helping me achieve my academic and extracurricular goals. I particularly appreciate how they are always available for guidance and willing to go the extra kilometre to ensure we understand the material. This positive environment and the commitment of the teachers make my school a place I am proud to be a part of.

    4. What do you see yourself doing in 6 years?
In 6 years’ time, I see myself striving to play for the Socceroos. Playing professional football has always been my dream, and I am fully aware of the dedication, hard work, and talent required to reach that level. I understand that achieving this goal is extremely challenging and highly competitive. That is why it is crucial for me to have a solid backup option to ensure my success regardless of where my path takes me. I believe that {school} is positioned to help me discover and develop this backup plan.

The thorough education and diverse opportunities offered at {school} will allow me to explore various fields and find alternative passions. The supportive environment and dedicated faculty will guide me in honing my skills, not just on the field but also academically and personally. At {school}, I am confident that I will receive the guidance and resources needed to excel in everything I do. The school’s commitment to fostering well-rounded individuals aligns perfectly with my aspirations. I am determined to leverage the experiences and education provided by {school} to become successful in all my endeavours. Whether it’s pursuing my dream of playing professional football or excelling in a different career path, I know that {school} will equip me with the tools and knowledge necessary to achieve my goals and make a meaningful impact in whatever I choose to do.

  9. Interview questions:

What can you offer the school?

Here at [school], I can offer a variety of aspects and benefits. Firstly, I will always thrive to be a respectful and considerate part of this wondrous academic community. From assisting my peers with their struggles to cheering them on as encouragement to praising them for their achievements and accomplishments, I will always try to assist and motivate my fellow students in any way possible. Secondly, I would always try to participate, especially in art-related activities. This year, I achieved the Garfield Drawing Competition award for my grade. At first, I was hesitant to enter, but I did it anyway. In life, winning or losing doesn’t really matter, but it’s the journey that counts. The school competition combined my passion for arts and my willingness to grasp any opportunity. In entering this competition, I learned that participation plays an imperative role for achieving success.

    Weakness
One of my major weaknesses is time-management. Too often, I would find myself slightly behind on work, or even having to resort to procrastination. This problem never really exacerbated. To improve, I started utilising gantt charts and time-tables, since I found it easier to do work with a schedule. I constantly found it easier to manage my tasks and time with the new schedules.

    Strengths
One of my strengths is generosity. Early last year, I cut approximately 20 inches of my hair to donate to Little Princess Trust, a charity that created wigs to support children with cancer. Me and my family are considering donating it again when my hair grows long enough.

What things do you like most about school?
As a Year 5 student in the Opportunity Class at Artarmon Public School, I’ve always appreciated the unique challenges and experiences that OC harboured. However, my favourite part of my school is the people. The OC teachers are supportive, kind and understanding. For example when specific mathematical concepts aren’t always clear, they encourage and assist us to think outside the box, embracing suggestions and different perspectives. The students are relatable and interesting, not only opportunities to boost my social skills but also the people who I can be true to, be loyal to, and share my personal hardships and experiences with.

What do you see yourself doing in 6 years?

In six year’s time, I see myself becoming an author. Being an author combines my passions for writing and environmentalism, two ardent subjects I have harboured since my early primary school years. I could spread awareness of how the environment is being tormented, the consequences of pollution and overhunting; taking the footsteps to becoming my role model; Rachel Carson. I could also write fiction novels, relatable fictitious stories that comforts children the same way they comfort me.

  10. What can you offer our school ?
    – Weakness/strength?
    – What things do you like most at school ?
    – What do you see yourself doing in 6 years?

I can offer your school a good leader that will set a good example and be a good role model to others. I want the full range of experiences and this school provides the full range of experiences and I will participate in activities that your school provides. I also want to maximize my potential in all learning areas and I have broad interests across all areas of school life.
Some of my weaknesses are public speaking and time management. To improve my public speaking, I have been involved in debating practice and have persevered through it for about a year. I have improved quite a lot which also makes me a good leader. I am able to speak in front of crowds now because of debating. I have also improved with my time management by setting a timetable and a weekly planner for when to get my homework done. Before this weekly planner, homework would be difficult because I didn’t have a set time. After the weekly planner was made, I was able to do my homework efficiently without any mistakes related to organisation.
Some of my strengths are focus, curiousity and risk taking. I demonstrate risk taking when doing Maths at school. I am always trying to find a more challenging task to complete. The same applies with English and Science. Usually at school, when I am working with my friends some of them get carried away and start talking and become unfocused. I am always focused and I don’t fall for their trap by also talking. I usually tell them to continue their work or I try to help them start working again. I am always asking questions at school and at home. I believe I am a naturally curious person who is always wanting to learn more.
Some of my favorite subjects at school are Maths, PE and STEM. I like Maths because I am always able to push myself further and challenge myself. Specifically, I like algebra and fractions because I find those the most challenging and fun to work with. Another one of my favorites is Science. I like it because I find it interesting and I never really get bored of it. Currently, we are learning about forces and we have to run an experiment to learn more about them which is fun. I also like PE because I am a very sporty person. My favourite sports are swimming and running.
In 6 years, I can see myself working towards a job that I am very passionate about. I will be going to work everyday with a smile waiting to enjoy my job. The job would most likely be a doctor, a vet or an engineer. I chose those jobs because I like helping other people and animals and I find the idea of coming to work and dealing with animals fun. When you are a doctor you can also meet new people such as your patients and other doctors. I would like to be an engineer because I am a creative person and always like to invent something new to help the community.

  11. What can I offer to the school:
I can offer the school a unique set of talents that will help the school’s community grow. As an avid volunteer and contributor, I am eager to support the school through community initiatives and acts. I’m also dedicated to my academic studies. Though I’m not much of a sports fan, I specialize in academics and strive to achieve scores that surpass teachers’ expectations. I’m always competitive and willing to take up any challenge – even if I lose, demonstrating my resilience and determination.

    Strengths/weaknesses
One of my major weaknesses is balancing different activities and choosing what I value the most. I have a lot of activities that I hold dear, like basketball, academics, coding, piano, viola, school sports, martial arts and Friday and Saturday sports. I used always to be late for things or be worn out because of all my activities. But now I’ve learned that sometimes, it’s better to let go. I discovered after that I just simply dropped some things, I was a lot more enthusiastic, rejuvenated and energetic.

    Strengths:
One of my biggest strengths is that I’m experienced with a lot of rather uncommon activities, such as coding, viola and snowsports. These activities each have taught me a “mini-lesson” – creativity, resilience and sportsmanship. I think I excel the most at digital activities specifically coding. Currently, I love making scratch games and JavaScript-based programs and I’m flexible in computer or ‘coding’ languages. I’ve had failures and successes in this field with games like Lemon Clicker I made but also disappointing results. It has helped me to learn that sometimes things don’t go as planned, and you sometimes just have to accept that.

What things do you like most at school:
A thing that I like about school is the inclusive and fun-loving community and teachers. The community is always really understanding and sympathetic, and if you had a bad day they would all try to cheer you up, or if you wanted to play they would always include you. The teachers try their hardest to help you learn and they seldom get frustrated with you and they are always available for guidance or advice. Overall, the community is a delight and everyone is kind and nurturing.

What do you see yourself doing in 6 years:
I see myself either coding or building as those are 2 of my favourite hobbies. In life, I wish to become a robotics engineer because it includes creativity and coding and can be fun and useful at times. I’ve always wanted to build a robot or program software, so it would be my dream to become an engineer. I know that this school (Sydney Grammar) has a wonderful coding reputation and creative community and I hope that they can help me hone in on my goals and just help me code and build better and more magnificent creations. I firmly believe that the school faculty and teachers will always be there in times of support and help provide me with the resources and materials that will help me push past my limits and excel at it. I am certain that I will use the school’s guidance, education and resources to their limits and make the most out of my time at school and I’m quite confident that the school will provide me the knowledge necessary to achieve my goals and make an impact on society and my field of study.

I can bring courage and motivation into your football/soccer first team. I know how to stay calm, and I have been in like BJJ National Championship finals so I know how to stay calm in tense situations. I believe that I can motivate our team when we are losing and not necessarily trying our hardest anymore. I have been in situations where we are losing in the final minutes. No one really thinks we can win anymore or even tie, for brief moments that is me, I idolise Cristiano Ronaldo, and I knew he would encourage me to try my best in this situation so me and one of my other teammates told all our other teammates to give it all to try to get a goal. We did end up scoring a goal after I headed the ball in, however the other team scored another from a penalty. Although I was sad that we lost, I was proud that I motivated my teammates and we nearly won. So I believe I can offer motivation and encouragement.

One of my strengths is that that I can multitask and get my work done. My teacher sometimes praises me for being the only one who can talk and finish is work. And I am always hungry for more work. I get bored when I am not challenged which can be seen as both a strength and a weakness. I can work on time management as I sometimes I am wrong on which activity to prioritize first. I am working on this by thinking in the future and doing activities which have a deadline first.

I like being challenged at school whether its sports or maths or writing I enjoy school because I like having my brain work. While other people might like to relax, I am the opposite. I like recess and lunch because I can run around and stretch my body after sitting for a long time, talk with my friends, possibly make new friends and play soccer. My brain also takes a break during recess and lunch and then when I go to my classroom it is fresh and cleared to be able to learn effectively.
In six years I see myself playing for a professional academy about to make my debut, I am in year 11 so I am focusing on my studies, while at home I dedicate my time other than studying and training to building multiple successful ecommerce businesses. I have been learning about ecom and I do believe I can be successful by establishing trustable companies that are doing at least 6 figures a year. I will be doing my HSC exams which I will be preparing intensely and hope to do well.

  13. What can you offer our school?
Right now, I can offer the school a lot of music. I am playing the piano at CMUS (certificate) level and the violin at AMUSA level. At school, we are doing band instruments where we each learn a new woodwind, brass or percussion instrument. We got two sessions at school just to try out each of the instruments so we could order every single instrument in the order from what you like the best to what you have no interest in learning for the year. After learning the instrument for three terms and a bit, we got an opportunity to perform our instruments as a band in Hawthorn Town Hall. For my piano and violin, I have competed in many competitions such as the Boroondara Competition, the Monash Competition, the Ringwood Competition and the Victorian Schools Instrumental Competition.

    Weakness/strength?
Since year 3, I have found juggling my extra-curricular activities really hard. Sometimes I leave things to the last minute which stresses me out as there are a bunch of homework sitting in front of me waiting to be done. One weekend, me and my mum decided to set out a timetable for each week. The timetable included a time frame for each activity that needed to be done. As weeks passed following the timetable, I found myself finishing everything the best I could not leaving any homework to the last minute and rushing it. Another problem I had since I ever started having extra-curricular activities was organisation. I was not organised at all. Every so often, I would lose a thing or two. For my homework, my mum had bought me a lot of folders so I could use one folder for one activity. My mum would always say, that if you don’t let your homework go where it is supposed to belong, then you aren’t letting it rest. This regular practice has helped me with school homework as well as keeping everything tidy so you would know where to get whatever you need from wherever it should be. It would also save you a lot of time from finding your homework every single day.

What things do you like most at school?
At school, my favourite subjects are maths, art and P.E. Maths are filled with unexpected problems that you want to solve. Every day in our maths class, I find explaining how I got to the answer for a certain question really fun. I kind of imagine myself as helping the teacher. Art is filled with creativity and imagination. Currently, we are making a piece of the Mona Lisa. So each of us would take a puzzle piece from the big artwork. Then we would make our version of the puzzle piece to create an oil pastel artwork of the Mona Lisa. It was a lot of fun. The result was not good but our whole class found the activity really fun. P.E. is filled with fun games new skills we learn and sometimes creativity as well. Previously, we have all learned how to make our games from a certain amount of material. The skill that was needed in our games must be targeting and aiming. Once everyone’s game was finished, we assessed another group and played their games. It was a whole lot of fun.

What do you see yourself doing in 6 years?
I see myself as a music teacher teaching many different instruments. Teaching my sister is a lot of fun. Currently, my sister and I both share the same violin teacher and we used to share the same piano teacher. I have just changed piano teachers not long ago as I had to work on my piano pieces much more than the fun duet pieces. Every five years, everyone in my sister’s piano teacher’s studio goes to Japan to perform and have a lot of fun. Luckily, I was able to go to that piano concert as well. My sister and I decided on a duet piece together and we worked on it every so often. Not only have I taught my sister, but I also taught her friend. Once when my sister was having a play date with her, I came along too. Together with her, we had a fun practice session together for both piano and violin. I loved it and so did she. I would wish to continue teaching many people who need help with anything for at least six more years.

  14. – What can you offer our school?

What I can offer to the King’s school is kindness. Even though I might not be the smartest kid in the school, even though I might not be the sportiest person in the school, kindness can be far superior than being smart or sporty. Kindness is the key power to friendship, and creating a multicultural and kind community is vital for a living. I can offer kindness by supporting others, providing them with stationary if missing, bringing them to first aid if they are hurt, and much more. Kindness fosters a sense of confidence, happiness and optimism. For example my school, I helped a friend who had fell over while playing tip, and grazed his knees to first aid. He was grateful for my act of kindness and we;ve been friends since kindergarten.

    – Weakness/strength?

A weakness that I have is time management because sometimes I get overloaded with work so I don’t have enough time to do it. Although this had been a weakness, I now have been able to effectively manage my time with a special technique, which is to prioritise the most important things and finish them off first and then move on to the next work on my list. This has guided me with an organised timetable and has been able to make my working time more efficient and seamless. For example, one day, I had so much work to do, including English tasks, GA tasks, Writing, Maths homework and much more. With prioritising the most important to the least, I have been able to complete my tasks within two days, whereas if I did it the way I was doing it before, it would have taken at least five days to complete.

    – What things do you like most at school ?

The thing that I like most about school is the PE lessons. Our PE teacher, Ms Taylor, ,makes really fun games, such as Doctor Chicken, which is like Dodgeball but it has four squares but you can revive people. Another thing that I like about school is PBL – Project Based Learning. Our most recent topic at school was what can we do to prevent natural disaster from happening. My group created a model which displayed our thinking which is an reinforced underground bunker. Another thing that I like about school is science. We are conducting an experiment at school based on the four states of matter, solid, liquid, gas, and plasma. I am creating a self inflating balloon where you use baking soda and vinegar to produce carbon dioxide and inflate the3 balloon. you I have greatly enjoyed this task at school.

    – What do you see yourself doing in 6 years?

In six years I see myself enjoying and playing basketball. Basketball has been one of my passions when I was a little kid, training in the local basketball club. Ever since then, I have been playing basketball at school and honing my skills. Basketball has been an extremely fun and engaging sport. In six years, I see myself training hard for the NBA with my friends. One of my most favourite moves that I will probably have is the shot-fake-shot. It allows the defender to jump early so you can shoot after they have jumped. Another one is the lay up, simple, but effective. Since I am tall, I can easily shoot the ball into the hoop. I believe this is what I’ll be doing in six years.

  15. 1- I can offer your school my valuable team working skills and my dedication and hard work. I can work pretty much with anyone, and form a solid foundation for my teammates. Though I’m a hard worker at heart, I always make sure that everybody’s pulling their weight and doing their part, because there’s no fun in doing a group project if you’re the only one carrying the team. I can recognise that most people aren’t always going to work to your standards but that’s okay, because we all have different limits and we should all respect that. I make sure that everyone can play to their strengths and do work that’s suitable for their personal standards. Furthermore, I’m dedicated and extremely hard working. I never slack off and always put in my full effort and attention.
2- One of my strengths is science. Since a young age, I’ve been fascinated by science, fueling my almost infinite curiosity. I have a deep passion for science and I’d say it’s one of my biggest strengths. As Mark Twain once said: “if you love what you do, you’ll never have to work a day in your life” and since I love and enjoy science, it never bothers me when I have to work on a science assignment which is why it’s one of my strengths. In my opinion, I think science is one of my greatest strengths because I’m not only good at it, but I truly enjoy it. I have lots of weaknesses though, like I’m not very comfortable taking risks, and I’m very self-critical, always comparing myself to others who have achieved more and sometimes overworking myself. Even if there is a slight risk in the situation, I’ll try to avoid it completely, often resorting to cowardice. It’s one of my worst habits because I’ll never achieve anything if I don’t take a risk. I’m also very self-critical of myself, especially when I see other people and how good their achievements are. Pushing myself to do better can be healthy, but doing it too much can end disastrously.
3- I like that my teacher, Miss Vayzer, understands everyone’s abilities and can adjust accordingly. She’s very compassionate and caring and always looks out for everybody. It’s uncommon to see such good and ethical teachers and I truly appreciate that my school has numerous kindhearted teachers. I also appreciate how my school is home to a diverse variety of students, and how we all have the opportunity to come together and meet each other.
4- In six years, I hope to be a scientist or an engineer. Like I said before, I have a deep passion for science, but I would also love to be an engineer because I’ve always found it really cool to see the complex mechanisms behind everyday objects. Although I have absolutely no idea what’s going to happen in the next six years or if I’m going to change my

  17. – What can you offer our school?
    1. Some of the things that I can offer Sydney grammar are my creativity and my passion for music, debating and sports. I love music very much and I have been playing the piano since I was four years old, music is a fundamental part of me and I hope to share my passion of it with others, I will put nothing but my best effort In. Sport wise I have a great passion for ice hockey which is not a very common sport in Australia, but it is a great sport for your self-confidence, teamwork, leadership and especially general strength and stamina. Over the years I have become quite good at it and I know that anyone who tries it and shows resilience towards it will become good at it. So I could get votes to make a new sports program like ice-hockey. I could come up with beneficial programs like a wellbeing hub or an eco-friendliness program with mister Watts to furthermore boost the learning and wellbeing of the students at Grammar. My mum came second in the European championships for debating and the skill of debating runs through our family, we even debate about general topics at home. I am in the house debating team of year 5 at Sydney grammar Edgecliff and I enjoy it so much. In my eyes, I see debating as a way to empower the strength of logic and creativity through valid arguments, not a battle or a fight with words. My favourite place in a debate is first speaker who gets the strongest arguments and always sets the stage with a compelling, well-structured case. I like it because it gives me the advantage of framing the debate straight from the start.
    – What things do you like most at school?
    2. Five of the things I like most at school are Sports, Music, Science, Spanish and Regular class. I like Sports because there are so many sports to choose from and all the programs are very good. Music is very fun because we don’t only do theory, instead we have fun activities and special events like musica viva. Science is the best because we have Mr Watts as our science teacher, Mr Watts is a former Scientist/engineer who had a pilot’s licence, has a 7 litre engine Rolls Royce and is a professional sailor who has sailed around the world 4 times. He makes the lessons so interesting and captivating and he and I have lots of the same interests like planes and sailing. We are privileged to have the Spanish program that we have. Almost no other school in NSW has a language program at all let alone a great one. Spanish is a life skill; you can communicate with so many people in your travels and it helps to learn other languages like Italian or Albanian, this is why I like Spanish. Finally, my last favourite class is just normal class with my regular teacher, His lessons are humorous, informative and easy to understand.
    – Weakness/strength?
    3. My main character strengths are Kindness, perseverance, curiosity, open-mindedness, leadership, bravery, enthusiasm, a hunger for learning new things, respect, fellowship and empathy. Some of my weaknesses that I’m working on are time management, that I overthink under time pressure, getting distracted by people who are talking.

    4. In 6 years, I imagine myself being in the air force cadets, which is why I intend on staying at the current school that I’m at which is Sydney Grammar. In the air force cadets, I will strive for excellence and always try my hardest to gain further knowledge of aviation. I see myself having lots of stocks and investing into hedge funds and index funds because they bring lots of money for university and later life, also I will be a very sporty person, always keeping in shape and doing excessive exercise. My musical passion will be continued and I hope to even be able to potentially mentor others younger than me who share the same musical passion as me. I will be traveling a lot and visiting cool places where I can deepen my knowledge and understanding of the world around me. I hope to be a very multicultural person and I will always stand up for what is right.
