  1. The bright fiery crimson carpet lay in the middle of the living room, dragons of gold dancing and prancing around the bright navy blue center housing a flower of silver. It’s pure beauty awe striking every single human being that lay their inferior eyes upon that magnificent master piece. The fabric was as soft as cotton candy and one step would transport someone into the Jiangxi cotton fields overlooking the magnificent ChangJiang river. The fiery crimson seemed to burst into flames, scorching everything in it’s path. The dragons, so bright, so magnificent that even a diamond ring would be severely jealous. The flower that lay in the center, so outstanding and amazing. It looked like it had created a light shaft, just like the St Peters Basilica dome, shining bright with the help of the sunlight.
The carpet acted as a history book through the ages, thousands of years of, farming, hunting, building and evolution all concentrated into one ancient carpet.
Hundreds of years of fights, blood and tears all have gone into this carpet.
Who knows what the carpet holds
Tens of thousands of litres of tea.
    Two bulls worth of blood.
Four barrels of sweat and tears,
all in the making of this carpet.

  2. My description of the magical carpet. (200 words)

The Moroccan carpet sprawled across the floor its sombre, intense colours melting like bitter-sweet crayons into the cataclysmic, vermillion synthetic fibres. Each shabby patch and tarnished edge resembled an old worn-out man, with saggy skin and resilient wrinkles marking back-breaking, relentless decades of hard work and use. Intricate, precise mathematic equations swirled in a vexing arc like the St Andrews Cathedral dome and the cursive loops and swirls representing a butterfly’s wings. The antique thick carpet held the taste of Nasturtiums which are peppery, like watercress. Its feel was rugged and tough but beauty is not the one singing like a canary but is quiet and reserved. The carpet stood valiant like a stalwart guarding its barren corner of the living room, collecting debilitated fragments of daily life into its stained fibbers while waiting like a patient observer.

However, there was another side to this mystical, sorcerous carpet. At night when the clock strikes twelve, it engulfs in the shadows becoming one with the eternal dark. It was a fine beast, a harmonious blend of raw power and elegant grace. Its coat shimmered in the sunlight, a cascade of sleek fur that seemed almost too perfect to belong to nature. This carpet had a luminous ethereal glow to it on the outside but on the inside, it bore great evilness beyond imagination. The carpet has seen and witnessed everything with its two observant, innocent eyes. The World Wars, poverty, hunger, racism, but most importantly death.

  3. INTERVIEW QUESTIONS:

    1.
If I were given a large sum of money to be invested in my community, I would prioritise to address homelessness through an increase in social and affordable housing. This would be through liaising with the local government and organizations to construct more housing units meant for people without homes, with long-term solutions rather than temporary ones. I would also work to make such houses available at reasonable rental rates so that the individuals may have a place of stability from which to rebuild their lives. By providing access to secure housing, I believe we can reduce homelessness and improve overall health and well-being within the community.

    2.
If there is some sort of conflict with a classmate or teammate, I would handle it by communicating openly and respecting each other. First, I would make sure both of our perspectives are heard by having an honest conversation about the issue at hand. Once both sides understand each other’s point of view, it would then be time to compromise in a way that accommodates both parties. Recently, my classmate and I didn’t agree which way to approach a history project. We explained what events and people we liked, and later we found something in the middle that included elements we liked. That’s just finding commonalities and continuing to work toward a shared objective.

    3.
If I were asked to teach a class for a day, I would choose Artificial Intelligence (AI) and computer science. These subjects are both fascinating and highly relevant in today’s technological landscape. I would start by explaining the fundamental concepts of AI and how they are applied in real-world scenarios, such as self-driving cars, healthcare, or personal assistants. To engage students, I’d incorporate hands-on activities where they can build simple AI models using accessible programming languages. My goal would be to demystify the subject, spark curiosity, and show students how they can leverage technology to solve real-world problems.

    THE MAGICAL CARPET:

The magical carpet springs to life, a radiant cascade of crimson and gold, its fibers shimmering like sunlight caught on a still lake. Each thread hums with energy, a silent promise of untold journeys and whispered secrets of forgotten skies. The intricate patterns, flowing like molten rivers, seem to shift and dance under the gaze, inviting the beholder into their mystery.

It moves with an innate grace, gliding over the ground as if carried by the breath of the wind, the fabric warm to the touch yet impossibly light. Its edges, embroidered with liquid silver, flicker in the light, resembling the soft glow of a moonlit horizon. With each step onto its surface, a faint aroma of spice and jasmine rises, evoking distant bazaars and sunlit terraces.

This is no mere carpet but a portal to infinity. It breathes freedom, its every fiber alive with the heartbeat of the universe. To touch it is to feel history and possibility intertwined. Riding it is not just transport but transcendence—a reminder that the world is vast, and the spirit longs to soar. The carpet, a guardian of dreams, carries those who dare to step aboard into realms where anything is possible.

    DEEP BENEATH THE CITY:
Deep beneath the city, where no light ever touched, Aiden discovered a hidden door that pulsed with an eerie blue glow. The atmosphere around him felt unnaturally still, thick with the weight of forgotten history. The tunnel stretched out in all directions, but this door—this anomaly—demanded his attention. Its presence was not just out of place; it was… alive. The stone walls seemed to bend inward as though holding their breath, and the silence hung heavy, pressing against his ears.

The door itself was an enigma. Its surface was smooth, like polished obsidian, yet veins of blue light traced through it, crackling faintly as if charged by some unseen force. The symbols etched into its frame shimmered softly, their design strange, intricate, and otherworldly—every stroke a mystery. Aiden’s hand hovered, almost unwilling to make contact, but the pull was too strong.

His fingers brushed the cold surface, and immediately, the air vibrated with a low hum. The glow intensified, casting sharp shadows that danced along the tunnel. The symbols on the door pulsed rhythmically, as though they were speaking in a language only the deepest part of his mind could understand.

A sudden gust of wind rushed through the space, though no opening was visible. The door creaked and groaned, and with an unsettling slowness, it began to part—revealing what lay beyond.

Aiden stepped forward, his heart racing. The space beyond the door was vast and shadowed, an ancient hall stretching endlessly into the dark. The very air tasted of dust and decay, mingled with something… older, something forgotten. He couldn’t see clearly, but faintly, in the distance, there was a faint glimmer—perhaps another light, or something far more mysterious.

Without thinking, his feet moved forward, crossing the threshold into the unknown. The door creaked shut behind him, the sound like the closing of an ancient tome.

    The Importance of Freedom

    1. don’t mind the file “The Importance of Freedom”, it was for the 8am class HW
i accidentally attached it to here

  4. My writing homework

Deep beneath the city, where no light ever touched, Aiden discovered a hidden door that pulsed with an eerie blue glow. The atmosphere around him turned all lugubrious and a forlorn cacophony resonated in his ears like a symphony at a ghostly Opera. Crack! A twig snapped a few metres behind Aiden causing him to jerk his head backwards in shock. Peering intently, he squinted his eyes and caught a shadow silently retreating into the shadows. Something was watching him. Someone was stalking him.

Teetering on the precipice of anarchic trepidation, Aiden stood there paralysed, shivering on what was about to happen. He trudged forward his reluctance evident in every heavy step. Placing his hand on the doorknob, a radiant electric spark hit him hard as his last thoughts were about the ephemerality of life.

Aiden landed with a heavy thud, his feet numb from the impact. His face was ashen, and his body trembled uncontrollably, shivering in the biting cold. Pain shot through him, forcing a wince as he struggled to steady himself against the unforgiving ground. Where was he? Observing his surroundings a heavily cloaked man entered the room snarling deviously while curling his gnarled fingers.

“Well look what the cat brought in,” mocked the tall, beastly man his vermillion eyes staring daggers at Aiden. Aiden stuttered and began to talk but soon realised he couldn’t find his voice either. “Well I guess the cat took your tongue as well,” he sneered, laughing his heart out as if it was the funniest thing in the world. He grunted staring at Aiden’s face which was like a mask and indicated Aiden to follow him.

Crossing through serpentine-like weaving paths they finally came to a halt. A ten-foot-tall ogre sat grandly in a divine chair with a renowned crown placed snugly on his wrinkly, worm-like head. His fingers were as big as Aiden himself and could pulverise him into a pulp in the blink of an eye. His masculine strength was terrifying but did not even come close to the snakes squirming around on his head. Aiden gulped and the wizard turned around remembering Aiden was still in his presence. “This is Maximus Clay, king of the Underground,” the cloaked man said with a grim tone. “If I were you, I’d keep your head down and do what he says. You’re not leaving anytime soon.” Without another word, he turned and left, his departure abrupt and final. Aiden’s stomach twisted. For the first time, he understood the truth: there would be no escape. He was doomed.

  5. Deep beneath the city, where the air was thick with the smell of damp earth and the faint metallic tang of forgotten machinery, Aiden hesitated before the pulsating blue glow. The hidden door, set into a crumbling wall of moss-streaked stone, seemed to breathe, its light waxing and waning like the rhythm of an unseen heartbeat. Strange symbols, sharp and fluid at once, shimmered faintly in the glow, as though etched by some ancient hand that had known secrets beyond comprehension.

Aiden ran his fingers over the symbols, feeling warmth radiate through the stone as a low hum resonated in the air. It was as if the door itself was alive, whispering unspoken truths in a language older than the city above. The cavern around him seemed to hold its breath, shadows frozen against jagged rock formations that dripped with glistening beads of moisture.

A faint trail of luminescent fungi edged the floor, leading directly to the door, their soft light a delicate echo of the blue radiance. Somewhere far above, the faint tremor of a passing train rumbled like a distant storm. But here, in the depths, the pulse of the door grew stronger, urging him closer, daring him to turn the handle and unveil whatever lay hidden beyond, a mystery too powerful to ignore.

  6. 1.
If I were given a large sum of money to improve my community, I would focus on addressing the immediate needs of the most vulnerable populations, such as the homeless and those without access to quality healthcare. I would invest in building more homeless shelters to provide safe, supportive spaces for individuals experiencing homelessness, with access to resources like food, education, and job training. Additionally, I would use funds to construct and upgrade local hospitals, ensuring they are equipped with modern technology and staffed with trained professionals to provide comprehensive care to our community.

    2.
When handling a conflict with a classmate or teammate, my first approach would be to listen actively and try to understand their perspective. I believe open, respectful communication is key. I would calmly explain my viewpoint, avoiding blame or accusations, and focus on finding common ground. I’d try to understand if the disagreement is due to miscommunication or differing goals, and aim for a solution that satisfies both sides. If the conflict escalates, I would seek help from a teacher or leader to help ensure that the relationship remains respectful and collaborative.

    3.
If I were asked to teach a class for a day, I would choose Chinese calligraphy. It’s not only a form of writing but also an art that combines precision, creativity, and cultural history. I would begin by introducing the basic strokes and the tools—brush, ink, and paper. Then, I’d demonstrate how to properly hold the brush and create the most essential strokes, such as the dot, horizontal line, and vertical line. Afterward, I would guide students through writing a simple character, explaining its meaning and the philosophy behind the design. To deepen their understanding, I’d also share a brief history of calligraphy and its role in Chinese culture. Finally, students would have the chance to practice, with feedback provided to help refine their technique and improve their understanding of Chinese calligrahy.

  7. The Persian carpet spread lazily across the floor, its deep reds and blues fading like the years on an old man’s face—rich, worn, yet strong. Each frayed edge and delicate pattern told tales of time, like the weathered hands of someone who had lived through both beauty and hardship. The soft, resilient texture held the quiet strength of age, while its intricate design—floral and vibrant—swirled with a grace that only time could perfect. It silent like a guard, gathering the marks of everyday life, quietly watching, enduring.

  8. **The Crimson carpet:**

The crimson carpet was sprawled on the floor, ostentatiously showing off its shifting kaleidoscope of colours. Dragons of molten gold twisted and twirled along its surface, their sinuous bodies caught mid-dance as though they were alive, guardians of the treasures it concealed. They circled a deep navy-blue centre, where a silver flower bloomed with radiant brilliance, its petals shimmering as if kissed by moonlight. It was prominently displayed just in front of the door; all eyes were drawn to it.

The carpet stubbornly remained as rough as sand-paper, as though it enjoyed giving each person a prickly shock. It cherished playing percussion when people danced across its length. The carpet reminisced about the children who had run laughing and screaming, spilling juice and mud everywhere.

Yet the carpet still wondered where those laughing children had gone? Every day that passed seemed to stretch endlessly. The tiny sparkling lights that surrounded the edges faded away. Once they appeared almost daily, now once in a blue moon. His favourite person, the young man, would spend much of his life caring and looking after his most treasured possession; the man was now gone, rarely leaving his room.

    **Interview Questions:**

**Imagine you are given a large sum of money to improve your community—how would you use it?**

If I were given a large sum of money, I would spend it on education and helping with homelessness. These are crucial things I believe we need to upgrade in today’s society. Education is a universal right and every child should have the opportunity to experience it. If the future generation is uneducated, many jobs will not be available to the such as doctors and scientists.

The second way I would improve our community, is by investing more money in helping homelessness people. Right now, there are many people in need living on the side of roads, and by each giving them some food, and a place to for them to stay, this would benefit their lives greatly.

**How did you handle a conflict with a classmate or teammate?**

Once, when some of my friends and I were playing soccer, there was an argument over if a shot was a goal or not. I had a feud with one of my friends, until we both realised that arguing was pointless, and it was just a school soccer game. We both apologised to each other, continued playing our game of soccer. After that argument, the takeaway was that it was just a game, made to have fun and an argument was completely unnecessary. The day after, we had forgotten about the argument, and we enjoyed our fun game of soccer.

**If you were asked to teach a class for a day, what subject would you choose, and how would you teach it?**

If I could teach a lesson for a whole day, I would teach chess. This is because chess playing chess can be good for you because it can improve your cognitive skills, including memory, problem-solving, and attention span. It is also a fun way to socialise with friends, while enjoying the strategic game. The way I would teach it would be, firstly, the rules and how the chess pieces move. Then some puzzles and then partner up with other people for friendly games. I hope that everyone would benefit from this lesson, continue chess, and most of all, have fun!

**Continue this story with beautiful description: Deep beneath the city, where no light ever touched, Aiden discovered a hidden door that pulsed with an eerie blue glow:**

It looked coarse from afar, like weathered stone, but beneath Aiden’s trembling fingers it felt smooth—and cold. So cold. Like a witch’s heart turned to ice. As he crept closer, the door’s eerie blue glow dimmed, as if shy of his presence. This was no ordinary door. It was alive.

The ancient walls pressed in around him, their silence heavy with anticipation. Stale air clogged his lungs, and darkness swallowed everything except that damned door, its outline burned into his vision like an afterimage.

    A roar shattered the silence.

Aiden spun, his heart slamming against his ribs. There, filling the corridor with its massive bulk, stood a creature straight from his childhood nightmares. The Alafly. Eight legs, thick as tree trunks, supported a body that scraped the ceiling. This couldn’t be real—the Alafly was just a story parents whispered to keep their children out of trouble. Yet here it stood, its mass of eyes fixed on him, each one gleaming with predatory intelligence.

The creature’s footsteps thundered closer, each impact sending tremors through the stone floor. Coarse black fur covered its bloated body, matted with substances Aiden didn’t want to identify. The stench hit him next—rotting fish and decomposing meat. At that moment, Aiden understood why children had been disappearing from the neighbourhood.

Fight or flight warred in his mind, but there was nowhere to run. The creature blocked one end of the corridor, leaving only the door at his back. That impossible, terrifying door. Aiden’s hand found the handle.

He yanked the door open and threw himself through, surrendering to whatever waited on the other side.

  9. Imagine you are given a large sum of money to improve your community—how would you use it?:
Well I know that it is very hard and unfortunate for some people in my community because they were born in a poorer family so they didn’t have the right of education and are living in the streets right now, so I might build some shelters for the homeless, for them to live in and fund people to cook them meals everyday. I will also donate a large portion of the money to a charity that focuses on providing meals to the homeless world wide. In addition to that, I will help build more hospitals around my area and help fund more doctors as well as using the rest to improve the school’s learning environment in my community.
How would you handle a conflict with a classmate or teammate?:
There was once during a group project when unfortunately one of the group members refused to do work because she didn’t agree with my idea. I was really frustrated as the due date was just in a few days. I started taking deep breaths, to try and calm myself and I started asking my partner questions about how he would like to do it and what could be improved on mine. Eventually, we came up with an idea, in which we both liked, and we found out we worked really well together when we agree with each other.
If you were asked to teach a class for a day, what subject would you choose and how would you teach it?:
If I was asked to teach a class for a day, I would teach how to code games as it may be beneficial in the aspects of creativity and it may teach them to preserve. I would do it by getting an example of a coding app like scratch and showing them how to do it on the screen. From then I will teach them what each of the codes do and how to link them to make your game character do what you would want it to do. When they have a chance to try it themselves, I would make a demonstration on the screen and go around helping people.
Write a description on the magical carpet:
The ancient carpet was sprawled on the floor, its colors blending like the melting of crayons. Each stain and clusters of dust and dirt resemble an old worn-out man with rough saggy skin and wrinkles. The carpet grumbled and shouted in agony as crowds and crowds of people put their dirty and muddy feet on top of it. The soft silky wool was like fairy floss, the sweet taste and smell still lingering in the air, mingling with the other smells and tastes, like the overdose of perfume and the eye watering scent of shoes. The carpet blends of a butterfly’s wing swirls with a leopard’s spots and peacock’s feathers, creating a fascinating design that captures nature’s elegance.
The carpet was a secret history book, having witnessed many centuries of crime, poverty and suffering, revealing all the truths to those who are curious enough to discover its magical abilities. Energy pulses through it regularly, like a heartbeat, providing the universal magic into its dense fibres. The carpet was a reflection of time, where you could visit the world’s past through nothing but patterns.
Continue this story with beautiful description:
Deep beneath the city, where no light ever touched, Aiden discovered a hidden door that pulsed with an eerie blue glow. The scent of salty ocean waters mingled with the taste of mystery, wafted in the air. Aiden found it harder to breathe as the air started to get dense from the extreme pressure.. The atmosphere around him started to get more mysterious as a light purple mist swept through, whispering dark secrets as it went by like a breeze.
The door itself was a mystery, its surface as smooth as polished stone, but small cracks in the door expose the inside veins. The multi coloured energy was like blood, providing with what it needed to keep its magic alive. Carvings on the door represent symbols or even a language that would have challenged even the biggest of minds. Aiden was most definitely puzzled by the carvings.
Aiden brushed his hands against the surface of the door, feeling the pluses of energy against his fingers. Despite all the thoughts to drive him away from the mysterious door, Aiden couldn’t help but find his attention only focused on the door. With a soft click, he opened the door to see the mythical city of Atlantis…

  10. 1. Imagine you are given a large sum of money to improve your community—how would you use it?

If I were given a huge sum of money, I would use it to improve health and homelessness. Every person should have a safe place where they all home. This will mean working with local councils and authorities to make homes targeted specifically for people who are homeless or need safe places to stay. This will also ensure a resolution of long term solutions rather than a short term or temporary fix. I would improve health by implementing more safe training practices. I believe that if people are thoroughly educated about they health, they would take immediate action to help adjust they life styles. By making programs to educate health and make homes for the homeless, I believe our community will be significantly improved.

2.How would you handle a conflict with a classmate or teammate?

My first steps towards handling a conflict with a classmate or teammate is logically speak it through. This means I will try to understand both my perspective and the person I’m having conflict with. This will make sure I can at least have a insight on their feelings or their values and needs. After that, I will try to find a solution that will both fit the person I’m having conflict with and myself. Once during a recent school project, me and my classmate wanted to do two separate ideas on different sides of the spectrum. However, through conversation, we managed to find something in between our ideas that we both agreed on.

3.If you were asked to teach a class for a day, what subject would you choose and how would you teach it?

If I was asked to teach a class for a day, I would teach robotics. Robotics is a highly relevant subject or field heavily related to our daily lives. From the laundry machine to electrical wheel chairs that assist the elderly, robotics is basically everywhere in our lives. I would first teach them the basics of robotics such as mechanism. For example, how to use motors or using communication through softwares. Them I would do a interactive task which involves building simple robots and coding them using VEX IQ parts. This will not only teach them another possible passion, but also spark curiosity and how robotics are used to improve our lives.

    The Magical Carpet:

The ancient silk carpet sprang to life with its crimson blood and citrus orange veins sprouting through everywhere on the carpet like a never ending supply of thick weeds, roots extending into the core of the earth. Every vein telling a different story of horror or enlightenment each with a distinctive pulse connected to the heart of the story. Each thread possessed a hum of energy like a silent promise of untold journeys and secrets of tales never to be heard again. The peculiar patterns were rivers of magic each screaming desperately to be purified again and shifted abnormally, copping every movement of the large continental plates under our earths mythical magma rivers and heavy crust. This carpet wasn’t just a mere carpet put at some random person’s door step, but a threshold with possibilities beyond infinity.

However, the carpet also had otherworldly capabilities. It had been through all the challenges humanity faced too. It was like a father to humanity. Nourishing it in secret while helping the world be what it is today. He had been with us through all the horrors; World Wars, Poverty, Climate Change, Pandemics. This carpet wasn’t just a rigid old carpet with threads shattered and broken feeling like elephant skin. It was the universe.

    Deep Beneath the City.

Deep beneath the city, where no light could reach, Aiden discovered a mysterious room with an eerie green glow that looked like fox fire. The atmosphere around him felt thick and heavy with untold stories and history bearing on the shoulders of the room. The rooms had doors in all directions but this particular door caught Aiden’s eye. It’s presence wasn’t just otherworldly, but alive. The doors seemed to be beckoning towards the mysterious door; bowing to their new king and the deafening silence hung heavy in the air.

The door itself was already a unsolved paradox tested by many genius over the generations. It’s dark cold surface like the darkest obsidian created by Mother Nature yet through the darkness, the faint green glow still shone luminously through the uncomfortable darkness. As Aiden’s hand hovered above the door knob, symbols of extinct civilizations began to illuminate. Aiden – wanting to hold back – couldn’t resist the gravitational pull towards him and reluctantly pushed the door knob.

Immediately, the air started humming, the glow of the symbols intensified. The shadows were dancing everywhere along the tunnel revealing more and more forgotten symbols. Then, a mysterious tongue started speaking to him, only his the deepest part of his mind could understand even one word and that was ‘come’. Aiden willingly stepped forward, his mind racing with unlimited theories. Without thinking, he stepped forward and crossed the boundary between reality and history. The door creaked open and a sound sent a tingle down his spine. A sound that sounded horrible. The sound of dying culture.

  11. (100 words each) Imagine you are given a large sum of money to improve your community—how would you use it?

If I was given a large sum of money to improve the community I would use it to create more shelters for the marginalised. This is because every person deserves to have a roof to live under and living out on the streets is often very miserable, hard and dangerous. What I mean is that many of the poor and homeless have to sleep under pouring rains, in dirty and unhealthy areas and without enough sustenance. The shelters I would build would provide free food and cover from bad weather for the homeless. This would ensure that the inhabitants of the shelters would be healthy and safe. So if I had a large amount of money to improve the community with, I would create more shelters for the poor and homeless.

How would you handle a conflict with a classmate or teammate?

If I had a conflict with a classmate or teammate there would be a few different actions that I would take. First of all, I would definitely avoid further aggravating my classmate or teammate. This is because it would not help to solve the problem at all, but actually worsen it. I would try to apologise but if my classmate or teammate was not willing to make up so quickly I would try to keep my distance from them for at least a week. If by then they had forgotten our conflict then I would go on and be friends with them. On the other hand if they were still frustrated with me I would try to apologise once more but this time I would try to be more understanding of how they felt during our conflict or argument. From then on I would try to not get into another argument or problem with them.
If you were asked to teach a class for a day, what subject would you choose and how would you teach it?
If I was asked to teach a class for a day I would choose to teach the class about my favourite book series which is Harry Potter. This is because they are fantasy novels which are my favourite genre of books. I would really enjoy teaching the class about this book series because I loved reading the series itself. This is because of all the magic, descriptions and just how engaging the whole plot was. I would teach the class about it by first explaining the plots of the books. Then I would ask the whole class different questions about the story to see if they had been paying attention. Finally I would put the class in groups and give them different group activities to test their knowledge on the book and if they could predict what would happen next in the story. Overall I would try to teach the class in a fun, practical and interactive way.

Write a description on the magical carpet (200 words)

The magical carpet gleamed in the moonlight. It had neon yellow edges on its lustrous sides and smooth velvet silk for the base. On the corners it had tiny hooks made of pure gold arching upwards. It was absolutely spotless and showed no sign of age although it had been made countless centuries ago. The silk felt like touching wisps of smoke, they were unusually warm for the cold night and were perfectly layered all the way throughout the whole carpet. The edges felt as smooth as glass. They were quite cold and had droplets of moisture along them. The golden hooks were slippery all the way up to the points which were dangerously sharp. So sharp that you could cut your finger if you were careless. As the soft breeze lined past by the carpet a quiet whistle could be heard from the wind passing through the tiny hooks. The only other sound was the wind slowly blowing through the soft silk base. Surprisingly the carpet did not smell of dust but like a strange And foreign mixture of smells. It had a smell of rosemary mixed with the smell of newly printed paper, with the smell of soap and a tint of orange.

Continue this story with beautiful description: Deep beneath the city, where no light ever touched, Aiden discovered a hidden door that pulsed with an eerie blue glow. (200 words)

The city was underneath the largest cave in the world and of course the city never saw the sun. The city was extremely different to any other city. It was home to the oldest nation in the world and they stuck to their ancient ways only allowing fragile clay huts to be built and no other structures. Everything was just a hut from the hospitals to shops. So massive collapses were very common as each hut was adjacent to another with just a mere metre between. So when one hut collapsed it would be like dominoes. A kilometre underneath all this chaos Aiden stood. He was staring at a door that probably had not been opened for centuries. It was a rotting splintered dark brown door. It smelled of mud and water albeit there was none nearby. The smell was like smelling a pool dumped with litres of mud and dirt. Covering his nose with his hand, Aiden traced his hand along the rough curves of the wood as large scratches on the wood threatened to splinter him. He was lost in thought. Should he open the door? After a minute Aiden decided in the affirmative. With one last gulp of air, he turned the rusty knob and opened the door. It opened with a loud creak and he stepped inside. It was pitch dark inside but Aiden managed to find a candle next to the door and lit it with his own lighter. What Aiden saw in front of him made him scream and drop his candle. It hit the floor with a thump and went out. Suddenly something dashed behind him and the door closed. In the complete darkness something pulled him towards it and then everything went black.

  12. IF you were given a large sum of money how would you use it to improve your community?

With a large sum of money, I would give back to my community through care for our vulnerable, the homeless. I would invest money into benevolent organisations like the Salvation Army, who are already established and have the structure and programs to establish a local soup kitchen.
We will reach out to local businesses and chefs for ongoing support and donations of excess food and time to safely reuse into meals to be distributed to the homeless.

Alongside the soup kitchen we can develop shelters fitted with health clinics and more to give comfort in times of financial strife combining this with the soup kitchen we still have one more problem, we need to get them back on their feet so by asking renowned companies we have found perfect jobs catered to each individual with good salaries and once they have enough money and confidence they will be able to start a new chapter in their life.

How would you handle a conflict with a classmate or teammate:

would first define what determines a conflict. It is usually an argument about opinions people hold dear.
I would first make sure we both are clear on what the point of dissension is to ensure its not a simple misunderstanding or a miscommunication.
I state my position in a calm tone, ensuring that the conflict doesn’t escalate and ruin the work we were currently doing. Then I would tell my partner the flaws in their idea and say that I respect it but it doesn’t work with our topic and then I would give a better idea that shows the best of both of our ideas making sure we each get a fair trade in thoughts.

If you were asked to teach a class for a day, what subject would you choose and how would you teach it?

I would choose Archaeology to teach my class , because our ancient structures and inscriptions give us a clue on real world problems. There is so much value in learning about the past. Without the past, what is the future? How will we be able to learn our lessons? How will we remember the great minds used in creating this world? I have chosen Archaeology because it’s not just about old times, it’s about learning from them and remembering the sacrifices and wisdom held in each wall ,each inscription and each painting the reason for choosing all of this is because learning on how civilisations used smart ways to fix problems and how we can implement that into the modern lifestyle.

  13. The Herati carpet sat in its room, its repeated crystal shaped creating a calculated beat across the cotton face. In the luminescent radiance, the emerald outlines bore a scarlet edge, where over the times, had been faded over the times to reveal rusty stains here and dusty spots there. The hues of the dragon in the center had been softened, due to the generations of armchairs and bookshelves. Against the spruce floorboards it collected dust and dirt. Even through its years, its edges remained impeccable, a mixture of elegance and generations.

  14. Deep beneath the city, where no light ever touched, Adien discovered a hidden door that pulsed with an eerie glow. The thick fog that surrounded it inclined that it was left untouched for centuries. The marks on the door told the many stories of conflicts, wars and struggles that people have faced but have not lived to tell the tale. The door however, told a different perspective from the rest. The door told its perspective from the neutral side. It was a side that no one chose but the door. A door may be neutral but it still had a side to pick from in the end. It was the never ending steps that told me that the stairs were the pages in a long history book with everything maked in here. The thousands of years of hunting, the hundreds of years of gold mining, the tens of years of cars, everything was marked in here. Not a single detail was missing from it! When I finally came out from the thousands or maybe millions of stairs, the fog simply walked away! Now the door was a huge historical attraction with many thousands of people having walked down the stairs but I was the last struggler to walk down them.

  15. The aquamarine carpet lay in the centre of the golden acacia floorboards deteriorating and battered with years of use. But still, it lies strong, its presence, a testament to enduring the difficulties and resilience and determination to survive in harsh conditions. Its essence transforms the room into a mystical wonder of vintage smells, evoking a flood of nostalgia that surges through your body and brings people back to their youth. The wave design on the carpet seemed to lap on the shores of a golden beach, its tranquil, serene sounds calming your body. It acts like a novel; every detail of the Persian carpet tells a captivating and enthralling story to its visitors. This carpet has seen and gone through the toughest times in the past century; the World Wars, the Great Depression, and the attacks of 9/11. No one knew exactly when or how it was made, but its age-old presence spoke of wisdom beyond measure. Its life, marked by imperfection, whispered the quiet strength of survival. And though its time may be running short, this old, fraying carpet would leave behind a legacy of endurance that few could truly understand.

  16. Q1. If I was given a large sum of money, I would spend it on building a sustainable apartment building that can house up to a 100 homeless people to help with the homelessness crisis in Sydney. The building would be energy efficient to support Australia’s renewable energy goals. The apartment block would be adjacent to a green space where residents can talk with each other, make friends and create a sense of community. I would also open a community supermarket where the homeless can come and get staple groceries for free.

Q2. The way I would handle a conflict is to listen to the arguments being put forward by the person I am having a conflict with to allow me to understand their perspective. I would expect them to listen to my perspective as well. I would then step away to a safe space to focus on what they said and how that marries up to my version of events. Once I have gathered my thoughts, I would approach them with my suggested resolution, listen to their suggested resolution and see if we can reach a reasonable compromise.

Q3. If I was asked to teach a subject for a day, it would be how to play Minecraft. I would choose Minecraft because it allows players to express creativity by building structures, statues and living and natural spaces. Players have to source the materials they need to build their worlds which teaches resourcefulness, sharing as we only take what we need and team work if you’re playing with other players. The Survival mode of the game makes it harder to source the material thus requiring out-of-the-box thinking. It is also a fun game which helps relieve stress and anxiety to assist with mental health.

The carpet, with it intricate purple and orange patterns lay there, its mystical secrets revealing themselves, a confession to the truth behind the stitching. Its magical reality, a reality where no light was meant to touch, finally sees light again. Hesitantly, I lean forward and touch it. Words start appearing in my head, along with an irrepressible urge to say them. I close my eyes, and try to pull my hand from the carpet. I fail miserably. I start panicking, worrying about what will happen to me. While I worry, the words in my head find their way into my mouth. I start saying them, and make a futile attempt to stop. The carpet throbs and glows with an ethereal truth, and when I finally finish speaking the magic words, the carpet reacts, it starts screaming, and my eardrums beg for mercy. The carpet throws me around, and when I can’t take anymore, it stops. It just lies there, completely still, its magical secret pushed to the deepest depths of my mind.

His trembling hands, shaking so hard they were a blur, reached out for the door handle, when he noticed there was none. Boom! Aiden whirled around his mind glad for the distraction, his eyes not. He refused to believe it. He ran at it. Thunk.

“No… it can’t be…”, Aiden cried. A wall, the same eerie blue that the door was, had slammed down behind him. Aiden thought of his parents, of his sister, his family. He wished he had never entered that cave. Resignedly, he turned around, only to see the door slowly creak open. Terror pierced his heart. There was nowhere to hide. An ugly blue hand appeared, and the rest of its body followed. But instead of a monster, there was a man with webbed feet, webbed hands, gills, and cheerful, smiling face.

“Well, who might you be?”, the man asked. Aiden, still shocked, shook his head, blinked, and managed to stutter, “my name is Aiden, sir.” The man called out to his friends, and said, “Did you hear him. He called me sir!” a cacophony of laughs echoed through the small area.

“Come, Aiden, come. Meet my friends.” the man said. “Oh, and my name is Daniel.”

“Nice to meet you, Daniel. Aiden followed, and when he saw Daniel’s friends, he screamed. They were monsters, ugly blue monsters. They ran at him and Aiden closed his eyes.

  17. carpet:
One carpet. So many memories, so many emotions dispersed and threaded through its fabric. The maroon flower designs delicately placed through the lustrous ocean of blue silk.
A glance of the luminous moon at the carpet’s centre, made one feel calm as if soothed by the sounds of a lullaby. Its threads were accented with a beautiful azure which seemed to harness the tranquil melodies of a lone thrush in a cloudless sky.
One touch of the carpet transported you to another world of comfort, with the soft merino wool fibres, warming up your body, engulfing oneself and drawing one into a peaceful slumber.
The intricate Tyrian purple patterns matched the beauty and unpredictability of nature, as it seamlessly blended with the silvery radiance of the moon that shimmered like a sapphire in the darkness.
The vibrant assortment of colours seemed to play amongst themselves, like school children out at recess.
Overall, the carpet was a cacophony of light, colour and warmth. It drew the observer into its folds and gave one a sense of calm and tranquility.
    The city:

Deep beneath the city, where no light ever touched, Aiden discovered a hidden door that pulsed with an eerie blue glow. Aiden grew tense knowing there could not be a logical explanation for this except something supernatural was behind that door and Aiden couldn’t do anything about it. Aiden tried to not think about the thought that was literally engulfing him whole “will I die?’’ “What is behind that door?” “There is a monster behind it!’’. He decided to walk away from the door and look at his surroundings and for the first time he saw that he wasn’t in a cave he was in a whole city. He saw that there were libraries, houses but the biggest of them all was a dome which seemed to have the same light as the door. Inside Aiden saw a tiny inscription in a foreign language he never saw before on the door but as he leaned closer to inspect, he got sucked in the door.
Aiden felt like he was in a rollercoaster with lots of bumps and in a few seconds he started to see light and then suddenly he was transported to another world with strange looking people.
    “Where am I?”
“You are at Olympus my friend”
A large looking man said boldly
    “You understand English?”
“I do not understand what English is but here everyone can understand each other.”
“Right but I went through a door from a large city that looked like Atlantis or that mythological stuff and ended up here.”
“Oh I see what happened you weren’t in Atlantis you were in Laistrygon.”
“Laistrygon? Really? Well I saw an inscription that I couldn’t understand and touched it.”
“That inscription you touched was to direct the door to Olympus and if you looked on the other side it would have said Atlantis”
    “How would I know that?”
“I don’t know but welcome to Olympus”
The man then suddenly disappeared leaving Aiden alone to think.
“You know what I’m going back home.”
Aiden pressed another inscription he found and a door appeared Aiden went through it and found himself in another city that was coloured in aqua.
“You’ve got to be kidding me!”
So then Aiden went through the door and finally came back and after that he ran away never to go to random glowing doors.

  18. Writing HW

Imagine you are given a large sum of money to improve your community—how would you use it?

If I was given a large sum of money to improve my community, I would donate some of it to charity, about a third of the total amount. With the leftover money, I would contribute half of the leftover money to projects directed to improving the community and keeping the community safe and healthy. For the remaining sum of cash, I would contribute it to pollution efforts around the world to keep the earth clean and habitable, therefore allowing the world to be a friendlier place.

How would you handle a conflict with a classmate or teammate?

I would handle conflict with a classmate or teammate by firstly finding the flaw that caused us to argue. I would then work towards fixing our relationship, starting off by saying sorry, then slowly building towards fixing our friendship wholly. If it was a group project that caused us to argue, I would suggest using both our ideas and combining them to create a new idea that we both agreed to and liked. This would allow us both to be satisfied and still friends.

If you were asked to teach a class for a day, what subject would you choose and how would you teach it?

If I was asked to teach a lesson for a day, I would teach art, more specifically sketching. I would teach them how to draw something from real life, such as their pencil or food. I would teach this in a way where each person chose an object they wanted to draw, before putting it in the middle of the class. I would then ask people to grab a random number and sketch the new thing that they have been given. This implies that even if you chose something easy to draw, there would still be no guarantee that the item that you drew out would have the same circumstances. This lets the students not to be lazy and draw simple things rather than complex sketches.

    Story Starter

Deep beneath the city, where no light ever touched, Aiden discovered a hidden door that pulsed with an eerie blue glow. The door itself was not like those you would find in the city, as now doors were now replaced by better, secure doors made of pure metal with codes embedded into it. The city was a futuristic dystopia where AI reigned, controlling almost everything in this world. The hover-cars sped across the roads as people went about their daily business with robot assistants, yet this door stood defiant against the city, unwilling to be changed. Its wooden, time-worn edges were rounded of use. Its golden knocker, carved intricately into the shape of a lions head radiated pride, its ferocious roar almost perceptible. The blue glow around the edges were blue, a deep blue that seemed to be the color of the ocean. The light rose and shifted, lapping around the edges of the door, its alluring light drawing him in. The wood near the bottom was worn and splintered and the doorknob was rusted beyond use, its former self now covered up by centuries of rust, neglected and left to decay. Aiden, fascinated by this seemingly magical door, stepped forward, drawn by an invisible force. He slowly reached for the doorknob, his eyes distant and pulled the door open with a almighty bang. dust billowed everywhere, covered the entire room in a fine layer of dust, yet the glory within it was unimaginable, its contents radiating power. Aiden, dazed, tentatively shuffled in, swallowed up by the cerulean light of the entry.

    Description of magical carpet

The carpet lay sprawled on the floor, its vermillion orange patterns mingling with the crimson red flowers curled around the edges, their flowery scent almost perceptible. The corners of the carpet are frayed, covered in dust and shaggy parts, like a old man with his wrinkles and saggy skin, relentless to the torrent of time. This carpet has been battered by the tidal wave of time, yet it stands resilient, its bright colours still visible through the thick haze of dust. Carefully embroidered curves and lines flow around the edges, their azure colour stark against the warm reds and browns. Patterns are scattered around the carpet, their finery similar to those of a regal peacock, intricate lines dancing across. A single flower has sprouted in the center, its petals reaching out to the edges, its hues captivating.

  19. What would you do with a large sum of money?

If I were given an investment in a significant sum of money to enhance our community, I would focus on initiatives designed to create a lively and welcoming atmosphere that embraces diversity. I would aim to support programs that encourage social interaction, cultural exchange, and accessibility for all residents, ensuring that everyone feels valued and included. Engagement in this initiative may encompass the development of community centres, the organization of cultural events, and the enhancement of public spaces. These endeavours aim to create environments where individuals can convene, exchange ideas, and foster enduring connections within the community.

Firstly, to elevate the quality of our community spaces, I would focus on transforming our neighbourhood into a vibrant hub by developing lush parks and dynamic recreational areas. These spaces will include engaging playgrounds adorned with colourful equipment, inviting walking trails meandering through scenic landscapes, and versatile venues specially designed for community events, festivals, and gatherings. By incorporating these green spaces into our environment, we would not just enhance the natural beauty of our surroundings. Create opportunities for social interaction, fostering connections among residents and strengthening the bonds that unite our community.

Next, I would focus on education and empowerment by investing in programs tailored for both youth and adults. Scholarships, vocational training, and workshops that enhance vital skills would be crucial. By supporting lifelong learning, we can empower individuals and improve job opportunities within our community.

Healthcare access is another essential area for investment. Enhancing local healthcare facilities, offering preventive health programs, and organizing health fairs for free screenings and vaccinations would significantly impact residents’ well-being and health outcomes.

Sustainability initiatives would be a priority as well. Establishing community gardens and promoting environmental awareness programs would cultivate a culture of sustainability. Workshops enfolding recycling, composting, and energy conservation would educate residents and foster a sense of responsibility towards our planet.

Improving safety and infrastructure is paramount. By upgrading roads, enhancing lighting in public areas, and investing in community policing initiatives, we can create a secure, inviting environment for all residents.

Lastly, I would invest in cultural programs to celebrate our diversity. Funding local artists, musicians, and cultural festivals would enrich our community’s cultural fabric and create opportunities for shared experiences that bring us closer together.

By focusing on these impactful areas, we can create a thriving community that nurtures its residents and empowers everyone to contribute to its growth and success.
